My dog hates rain and we have to struggle to take him out in it. I laid out a tarp last night to keep a patch of grass dry. He wouldn't go on it this morning, so we took him off the leash and he ran around the backyard like crazy. Loved it. Towards the end of the day he was a little tired of it, but he really seemed to like it.
My Bassett hound used to be the same way.
Hated anything under 40 degrees, but for some reason would love the snow even if it meant his package and his nuts were dragging through it

I put a bottle of water on my back porch before the storm came so I could see if it was getting cold enough to freeze. Checked it this morning and not even an ice crystal. Thermometer says it is 28 at the house.
give the bottle a thump and see if it freezes

I jacked my foot up yesterday and it was killer to walk so I forgot to turn my pool pump on and it's starting to freeze. Threw a heated blanket over it hopefully that gets it thawed out enough to turn on.

Didn't hear a peep out of the birds yesterday, but this morning, our resident cardinal is going to town. With the sunshine and some snow still on the ground, it's a bit of peace in our chaotic land of Houston.
There is an owl sitting in the grass in my backyard getting some sun.

Pretty seasonal fronts through the first week of February.
Right now, temps aside, February looks very wet, which is a great segue to cook off, which is usually either cold, wet, both!
