He was walking on it so I don't think achilles. Could have easily torn something in calf though.

Paredes has really been sucking lately. He is not a leadoff man. Maybe let Altuve or Smith lead off until JP gets back. Maybe even Dubi.

Jake went out to centerfield to start the game and looked fine until he took a few steps in the outfield beyond second base and stopped.

The stadium camera panned to him and it looked like he said "Wow" while a little bent over.

Then he just stood there.

Trammel came over and they hit a knee. Then the trainers came out and looked at him a bit and it was clear he wasn't playing.

He walked from shallow center with the assistance of the trainer through the right field wall door. Didn't even try to go to the dugout.

Hopefully it was just some cramping or reaggravation but he was going out to centerfield ready to play and just stopped. Then needed assistance to get off the field.

Very weird.

His non answer isn't ideal I don't think.

The fact that he needed assistance to get off the field and went through the right field wall rather than the dugout ain't a great sign.

I think if it was and Achilles, it would have happened while warming up, so hopefully it is just an aggravation, still not good, but better than and Achillies tear.
