I have a feeling Robinson is going to get sold at the end of the season.

Goaaaaallllllll! Josh Sargent!

Robinson subbed in the 80th minute for FFC and played well defending the unrelentingly attack by Liverpool In a 1 nil victory.

Last weekend was huge for Americans abroad.

Here are a listing of players who scored for their clubs:

Brendan Aaronson - RB Salzburg
Tyler Boyd - Sivasspor (On loan from Besiktas)
Taylor Booth - St. Polten (On loan from Bayern Munich)
Daryl Dike - Barnsley (On loan from Orlando FC) This goal was an absolute rocket so I attached it.
Josh Sargent - Werder Bremen
Luca de la Torre - Heracles FC
Theoson Siebatcheu - Young Boys FC

I am curious why you think that. If Fulham are relegated he is a young inexpensive player with a lot of EPL experience who can help Fulham back up. If they stay up then they will want him to be a part of their team in the EPL next season.

I watch a lot of Fulham matches, and he has grown into the role and has done well, but I think another year with Fulham would suit him well regardless of the league, before he ventures to a larger club.

But that is also a reason why he might get sold. Young talented player with quality top flight experience is pretty marketable. Top flight clubs are always looking to pick talent off of recently relegated teams.

Yep. There's a huge financial hit to go from EPL to Champions.

It's not normally young, upcoming, cheap talent that teams look to sell when going down. They look to sell more expensive parts. I think Fulham paid all of $2M for Robinson, so I don't see them selling him so quickly. Could be wrong, but Fulham have the resources to jump back up, as has been shown in the past.

We will see, hopefully they don't go down and this isn't an issue!

Right, but if hurting for money you may part with something you want to hold onto.

It's tough to say what they'd do, and hopefully they stay up and this discussion is moot.

An added wrinkle is that their other LB Aina, who has more starts than Robinson this year, is a loanee - so he'll be harder to keep whether they stay up or go down. Robinson is the bird-in-hand.

I think the biggest factor on Robinson staying or not is his salary. He might be a young player, but he's getting a decent salary... in fact he's making more than twice what Tim Ream does, if these guys are accurate at all: https://www.sportekz.com/football/fulham-players-salaries/

Does he have a clause in his contract to reduce wages in a relegation? If so, his new salary is gonna look a lot more like Ream's and he'll likely want to try and leave if he can maintain his salary elsewhere. If there isn't a clause, the club may not want to keep paying that much and try to find a buyer.

I saw the goal a day or two and watched it again when browsing this thread and didnt notice the angle until rewatching. And he's moving away from goal with a defender coming on. I would never have even tried hitting that shot. Thats why these guys are professionals and I'm sitting in an office with bad lighting

And he couldn't have placed closer in the upper 90.

Yeah, the window to even put that on frame was minuscule. I would've been totally looking for the runner back post.

That's my point, Fulham aren't hurting for money. They have shown that they will spend to pop right back up to the EPL. We will see with Antonee, I hope they hold onto him.

His transfer fee to Fulham was only 2M. If they can get the 5M his valuation, based on transfermarkt, then it will be pretty enticing for both parties; especially if he's able to stay in the PL.

True..my statement was more hypothetical without knowing the FFC situation. I just said that going from EPL to Championship is quite a financial hit.

Fulham loss about 20M for the year ending in June 2019, the year they were relegated. I don't think they made any money last year due to the pandemic. The currently total salary is 62.5M so maybe they don't need to sell Robinson, as he's only making 23K a week.

It's more hoping than thinking.

They still have a chance to avoid relegation though.

Reports out that Pulisic is looking to leave Chelsea in the summer, as he clearly isn't part of Teuchel's plans, and Pulisic clearly isn't happy riding pine.

Will be interesting to see where he lands, Another PL club? Back to Germany? Italy?

Hope he goes to a place where he can get more minutes, and hopefully stay healthy.

Reports are flying everywhere. BM, LIverpool, and a few other places.

It's obvious Teuchel has it in his mind that he's a super sub despite how he played in the restart. He was one of the best wingers in the league after the restart.

I see no home for him at Liverpool unless they went to stockpile forwards for next year knowing that 21-22 is going to be a mess for internationals.

I can't think that Klopp thinks he has the fitness to play for him.

That's one of the many rumours.

I think LP would be a bad spot for him.

I'd love Pulisic at Liverpool, but only if we move on from one of our current front three... which is always rumored to be happening. As a USMNT fan, I just want him somewhere with a competent manager who will give him playing time. And also for him to not get hurt any more.

Did y'all see this the other day? Siebatcheu's been having a good season for BSC Young Boys (still just an incredible name for a soccer team) but hasn't ever been called up by the US.

Well, to be fair, he just chose to play for the USMNT.

The expectation is he will be called up this week for the March friendlies when the club is announced.

Is this dude any good? I don't follow Swiss soccer, and haven't watched any of his matches.

He definitely adds additional depth at the forward position. The US has been courting him for a while but he had been focusing on his club career. I guess he feels comfortable enough now to commit to a national team.

It'll be interesting to see how Berhalter uses the forwards as we have a wide variety of skillsets within the pool.
