Today the winger with the most killer instinct was Arriola (comparative to time on field). Chew on that
We sorely missed Weah.
Thinking about it some more missing Weah almost forced Aaronson onto the field which then necessitates Jozy up top. Aaronson and Pulisic want to play the same way in the same spots. Plus Jozy dropping back all the time allowed the Canadian defense to put at least one player closer to CP. our player selection naturally gave us a numerical disadvantage. Starting Arriola and Pepi may have been the better option
Im pretty sure when our forward drops back, at least one (if not both) of our wingers are supposed to make runs into the space he has created.
I just feel like our attack, in general, is very disjointed and it may be too complicated to expect a national team to play. This is something that has been brought up with Gregg since the very beginning, and there is a reason most national teams tend to play somewhat simply tactically.
