May not matter because they have so much damn depth, but maybe the start to run the battery down and Arsenal can beat them at the Etihad or one of these relegation fighters throws a surprise haymaker against a tired City.

Napoli train is running off the tracks

They'll still win Serie A title but possibly no Osimhen and no Zambo next leg is going to be tough. At least it's at home and it was only a 1 nil loss on the road

Not all of us can be like City and have the depth they do. Their 2nd team probably finished top 4 as well. Unfortunately for us, the drop off from the 1st team to the backups is still pretty significant, especially in midfield and parts of defense. We basically can't afford rotation and when we have tried, it hasn't worked well leading to those early exits.

This is killing ManU right now. They are still playing EL and the FA cup and won the gummy bear cup so have played every possible game they could play. And to make it worse since they didn't win the EL group they had to play Barca twice in the play in games. They are playing two games a week to Arsenal and Newcastle's 1. It's brutal.

I guess it's good they still have a chance to win something but the cost is pretty high.

Same thing happened to Liverpool last season. Played in the maximum amount of games possible. Now look at us....

Its something I'm very concerned going into next year as well. Arsenal's players are mostly under the age of 25 so the recovery. But players like Saka, Martinelli and Odegaard have basically played every game + every international game. The work load on players with all the added competitions is really bad

This is only going to get worse with the new format for CL and we get 8 group stage games instead of 6.

Honestly I think one of the only reasons Bundesliga tends to punch above their weight in European competitions is because they're fresh…. So many fewer games with an 18 team league and only one domestic cup where every game is a one-off that goes to PKs.
