Courtois has single-handedly kept them in this. My goodness.
Well, there are teams in London and Paris in particular that spend money like it is going out of style and don't have near the success Pep has, so it does take a great coach to win as consistently as he has, even with good talent. City doesn't miss much on their signings and he gets them all to play within his sytem.wangus12 said:
Pep has always been the spoilt rich kid who got everything he needed. I'm not taking any of his feats away but has the man ever built anything from the ground-up. He's always had unlimited funding
It still would be interesting to see how he would navigate the transfer market if he even had to play it on the next rung down of financial ability, like the Atleticos/Spurs/Liverpools/etc. of the world have to play it.Aston94 said:Well, there are teams in London and Paris in particular that spend money like it is going out of style and don't have near the success Pep has, so it does take a great coach to win as consistently as he has, even with good talent. never met an American United fan that predates their dominance. So what?jeffk said:
I've only met one American City fan that predates the current ownership group.
The team across town spends a ton too. I haven't checked in a year or so, but the other team usually has the largest wage bill in the EPL.Aston94 said:Well, there are teams in London and Paris in particular that spend money like it is going out of style and don't have near the success Pep has, so it does take a great coach to win as consistently as he has, even with good talent.
