They're definitely on a tear, but I'd argue this is the most inconsistent City team Pep has fielded in a good while. They've dropped some stinker performances this spring.

As a Madrid fan, I don't think they even have a great chance against this City other than Madrid's ability to continually summon Miracle Max when they are mostly dead.

But its mostly offset by having a robot scoring 45+ goals. Just wait till they have Haaland and Bellingham next year

They are down 2 goal on aggregate.

So for attacking options they start Kai Havertz and Gallagher. Then 3 defensive midfielders, 2 wing backs and 3 CBs.

Sterling, Mount, pulisic, Felix, Mudryk and Ziyech all on the bench.

Not sure how Bayern didn't score there at the end of the half.

And that's probably cinched it. I agreed with Jamie's pregame comments that they needed to get 1 by halftime to keep hope alive. They had gobs of chances but couldn't convert (and are very lucky to not have massive Upamecano mistakes bite them severely).

In truth, if they extend, I think it spreads out how much the fee they paid Dortmund impacts things.

Or at least that's the logic I heard for why Chelsea gave Mudryk such a long contract. It could very well be that it's just because Boehly is dumb.
