The rebound problem isn't due to Laker size.
The last two times, no Maverick has bothered blocking out. Sometimes happens in zone defense.

FWIW Artest also elbowed Chandler 2 possessions previously. That's probably why Chandler overreacted to the 2nd elbow

Yep. Lakers are going to win the glass every game. The Mavs are going to win the outside every game. Whoever does better at their strength or negates the other guys is gonna win.
I'm just glad to watch some good basketball. We've seen six quarters of entertaining stuff. Both teams have played well.

Rockets fan here.... This Mavs team is fun to watch. Dirk is playing a very impressive game, and Chandler is bringing a defensive toughness that they've been missing for a long time.
The Mavericks have the best bench in NBA. The difference in players 7,8,9 for Mavs vs Lakers is staggering.

Nothing ever ends well. If the Lakers want this game/series they are going to have to play harder. They don't have their usual advantages. It will be interesting to see if they still have the fire that got them past Boston last year. Haven't seen it yet.
