Why? They're just random stats that remove 90% of the context while reducing these games to arbitrary numbers. That's the point I'm trying to make. You can post all the stats you want, but if you honestly thought LeBron didn't show up or play a part in this win based on these random ass parameters/guidelines, then there is no point in arguing with you.

Here's the thing about Lebron haters: Even if he averages 30/8/8 for this series and the Heat narrowly get a series win (which I give about a 45% chance of happening), the haters will find something else to hate about. It won't "count" for one reason or another.

It'll be because he couldn't do it "on his own" in Cleveland...like Kobe(shaq) did in LA, or Jordan(Pippen) did in Chicago, or Duncan(DR/TP/Manu) did in San Antonio...or let's go back even further to Magic and Bird...because we all know Cleveland was just loaded with talent around Lebron, he just couldn't win the big one.

And for anyone wondering, LeBron is third on my most hated NBA players ever list behind Stockton and McGrady, so don't try to bring the fellatio **** into it.

You either watch basketball or you don't. Threads like this are a good litmus test for who does/doesn't.

The only thing funnier than LeBron hate is his defenders.

Guys, it's just a game. And these are just fans. They don't need a REALLY good reason to hate him.

It's probably enough that he's cheated competition to join up with Wade and Bosh, put on a ridiculous not 1, not 2, not 3, etc. show with those guys, then promptly checked out of the finals last year with the Championship on the line.

You can like the guy. He is a great player. But if, in light of the way all this has gone down, you can't figure out why he's disliked you just don't get sports.

And my guess is that you all, as Aggie fans, must have loved Vince Young in 05.

When KG and Ray Allen both complained themselves out of their respective cities to join paul pierce, they cheated?

There is no cheating in free agency. Everyone had a chance at LeBron and he chose to go wherever he wanted

But he DID make a clutch shot and they won, and he's being acknowledged for it. I know I always enjoy Lebron's regular season clutch stats being constantly posted on this forum. Now he's on the board in the Finals

People HATE great players ALL THE TIME. It is part of being a fan. Very few fans just objectively appreciate greatness. And there is someone that pretty much all of you hate for no good reason. At a visceral level.

So why is it, with this one guy, there are people that absolutely can't get why people don't like him?

Did I miss him saving 100 orphans from a fire or something?

I completely understand why people don't like him. I laugh my ass off when people try to justify their hate for him by citing his "stats" in arbitrary manners when he has been the most dominant player in the league the last 4 years, has turned in some of the most clutch playoff performances in history in his short(ish) career, and continues to put up numbers that no one else touches.

He's one of the few superstars that is actually a great person on and off the court. It's so rare

No beating his wife, no baby mamas, no legal/drug issues, no DWIs, no cheating, nothing.

Again, people do that with great players ALL THE TIME. Maybe the ONE GUY that didn't get that was Jordan.

I'd be very surprised if you yourself had not downplayed someone's greatness in the past because they played for the wrong team.

Malone and Payton were way over the hill and didn't win dick. Gasol, complain or no, was never a free agent. KG gave Minnesota 12 freaking years and Allen spent 12 years in the black holes of Milwaukee and Seattle.

LeBron was playing for his hometown team, had made the Finals and had a GM that was at least trying to bring folks in to help him...then he treated his hometown team like his father treated him except in a wildly public forum. THAT is why he has haters.
