Disheartening when Dirk puts up 20/20 and we still lose.

From a Grantland article talking about the Mavs today - "Since [Dirk] returned to the starting lineup on January 5, the team is a much more respectable 12-11 with an even healthier scoring margin of +3.8."

That +3.8 would be good for 5th in the West. Smallish sample size of course so take it with a grain of salt. Needless to say, this team isn't very good without Dirk.

I wish the Mavs could sit Dirk with an injury the rest of the year. They won't be able to completely tank if he plays, but they are too far out of a playoff spot at this point to get back in it. The last 2 games were the dagger I think. They are in NBA limbo at this point, which is the worst place to be.
