Oh no, you have summoned him! So, I think we all agreed about a couple months ago, that the mavs just weren't that good this year. I can't remember if I posted on this forum, or just told a friend this, but I said if the mavs were to make the playoffs, they would be feared. The reasoning was, they would be one of the hottest teams going into the playoffs and still had Dirk. Possibility of this being true, I don't think Utah deserves it this year.

You remind me of a guy I played poker with at Winstar. Before the Mavs were in the finals agains the heat he starting talking sh*$ about how the Heat and Lebron would destroy the Mavs. I told him he was a bandwagon fan and there was no way he was a Heat fan before that year. He said he just liked Lebron, etc, etc, so that is why he was a Heat fan. I'm sure he was a Bulls fan and Lakers fan before that.

I went back to the casino a month later after Mavs had won the title, and the guy was in a Mavs shirt, hahahaha, I lost it.

So Prepy, I know you will never become a Mavs fan because they are not mainstream enough and cool enough for you. You will stick with the heat, until they are no longer the best team in the NBA and then switch to someone else. I feel sorry for fans like you who never really have a team to root for and don't know what it's like to be truly ecstatic about a win (or on the reverse side truly hurt for a loss). That's what makes watching a sport fun. But apparently for you, you get enough enjoyment about talking crap to true fans of other teams, even though you never have a team of your own. Whatever floats your boat.

You guys are alot more sensitive than I thought...to your point, it's actually a much better experience than you living and dying with the mavs...I don't get sad or feel need to justify anything when a team loses, nor am I jumping around and buying sports memorabilia when a team wins...I get to enjoy Basketball, not mavs basketball...
