In the seven games the two teams have played this year, 4 of the games have gone to overtime (3-1 Spurs), the Grizzlies have won 1 game by 2 (Duncan DNP), and Spurs have won 2 games by 21+ points.

Already stated they proved me wrong. Though, at the time I posted that, Pop also seemed to think they didn't come to compete.

I'd like to state that unlike others I thought the Spurs would win and showed no signs of being scared of the Grizzlies. In another thread I stated the Grizz did not have any dominating wins (4-1 in games is dominating a series but not individual games) against a depleted Thunder team and was railed for it. Those wins last series showed that the Grizz weren't a dominant team and did just enough to win, which isn't enough to beat the Spurs and isn't enough to win the finals.

The article linked in the Grizz thread is spot on about the coaching/players I think, no good drawn up plays out of timeouts and at end of games and as the Memphis posters said they don't have enough outside shooters to compliment the bugs.

Based on how the Grizz play defense and the core 3 guys they have good years are coming. A decent free agency with 3pt specialists and they'll be off and running next year.

Thankfully the Spurs haven't had a melt down like last year's WCF yet, though there's still time I guess.

I realize that what I think, say, or do has absolutely no bearing on the result of any kind of sporting event whatsoever, unless I am playing in the game. It never occurred to me that a group of human beings I will likely never come in contact with give a damn what you or I think. I just assumed they would fold like they have the last two plus seasons to inferior teams, and for whatever reason decided to vent it on a message board where--on rare occasion--basketball is sometimes discussed. And yes, I see the irony in the previous sentence.

Monty is one of the best in the league and tends to let teams play.

I think Spurs come out to put these team away tonight. If Spurs go up by double digits, I don't see the Grizz coming back. They will be mentally deflated.

I too think the spurs come out fast and try to put it away, but Lionel Hollins is a fantastic coach and he won't let his team quit, so it should be another hard fought game.

I think people are going to forget how good of a team Memphis has this season because of the way the spurs are going to win this series 4-0 or 4-1

Also, aggie0105 is a dumbass of the highest order.

that's the worst out of bounds call I've ever seen in my life. No part of Parker came within one foot of the ball and the zebras somehow called it out on him.

20 secs into game and refs have already blown 2 calls

Fix is in, bad call already.

That out of bounds on Splitter was hilarious. He comes flying in and grabs the offensive rebound away from the Grizz while heading out of bounds. Then he doesn't try to pass, throw it over his shoulder, or anything. He just lands 2-3' OOB holding onto the ball.
