Watching these guys on espn and fox sports talking about how they are so upset with these comments... what he said is not good, but **** it's just an opinion that doesn't directly involve or impact them. Sure they can provide their opinion, but some of these guys were acting like he just slapped their mother. NBA needs to force the guy out though if the comments are true, and the NAACP may need some people removed as well if they are giving this idiot multiple awards.

The NAACP has a pretty long track record of being dysfunctional. They certainly can't be considered the voice of colored people, despite their name.

Maybe they are talking to Kobe and Magic because they are the two biggest basketball names in the Los Angeles area? Or because Magic is the most beloved athlete in Los Angeles and pretty much has been since 1980? Or because Magic is directly involved because the convo between Sterling and his gf involved Magic? Get off your Laker hater biases for once and see this situation for what it is.

I for one, think they shouldn't force Sterling to sell. He owns the team and should do what he wants with it. That said, he can forget about getting any black free agent of any consequence for the rest of his life. That franchise is stained until the day he dies.

...and to those of you in here who rushed to defend Sterling and attack the girlfriend, I have no words. The issue here is not the girlfriend -- gold-digging **** though she may be -- it's a self-righteous bigot who will soon get his comeuppance.

I don't think they can force him to sell, but surely they can impose sanctions or do anything within the confines of the league rules to make it difficult for him should he refuse to sell.

I believe the Kings just sold, and the Bucks are either on the market or very newly sold. If he put the Clippers up for sale tomorrow I think they'd be sold in a week.
