Don't like going iso with Barnes at the end there. He struggled all quarter against Sefolosha (sp?) and Curry was feeling it. I think running curry in a pick and roll with someone would have made more sense.

Was a good play to secure the loss.

I'm going to be so pissed if Carlisle starts not playing Noel much like he does with every other young guy who shows promise. It's unacceptable to play him 16 minutes, 0 in the 4th. I don't care if it costs us a game or 2, he has to play big minutes. Tonight was unacceptable for like 10 different reasons.

We have to have him develop so he has to play no matter what this year. And if he doesn't play much, he might not even want to be with us long term. If Carlisle screw this up, either playing time wise or relationship wise, then he really isn't the right guy for a rebuild (even though he's an awesome coach for a non rebuilding team).

End of rant. Hopefully I'm ranting for nothing and this was just a fluke that he didn't play much. But carlisle's post game comments made it seem like a non fluke.

He's developing his professionalism. Guy was 10 minutes late to the team plane yesterday which cost him the start and apparently minutes.
Or it's a part of the tank philosophy. Everyone is too open when he's on the court.

Yeah, I'm hoping this was simply a one-time message sending game due to the late arrival. But I'd still tread a bit light on the discipline until I get an extension squared away.

I doubt these guys are trying to tank. They structured the Noel deal in a way that they could chase the 8th seed in the west. We know they can't get any higher than # 8 based on looking at the standings. Carlisle and Cuban have never tanked even when they probably should've the last few years. Should be just a one game punishment type of thing.

If the Mavs keep scoring more points than the other team they'll never lose!

I'll be there on Tuesday night hoping to see Dirk hit 30,000. Also the Mavs have been really fun to watch lately. Hopefully they hit the nail on the head in the draft and are a solid playoff team next year in Dirk's last run.

But in all reality Seth Curry is good.

I'm glad he's locked down next year. The mavs better pay up the year after that. I'm sick of watching them let guys go who end up playing really well elsewhere.

To be fair, both Nash and Dirk had more success apart from each other. Nash was good in Dallas, but took his game to another level after he left.

Steve Nash I wish we had kept, but the argument most pundits put out there is, both players needed their own team to flourish. Nash dominated the ball on the Suns, and that would not have been the case if he stays with the mavs.

I was glad when they traded crowder. The guy just couldn't shoot. The Mavericks tried everything. He didn't learn how to shoot until he joined the celtics

This trade haunted this team I would say till the Noel deal. That was a good team scoring points at historic efficiency. I think the Noel trade will allow this team to get back to some of those efficiency levels but Noel should be a better defender than B Wright so I can say we may finally be over that whiff.

We were going to make a good run in the playoffs that year before that trade. We started out hot and we're playing really well as a team. Rondo screwed that up royally.

I'm not "happy" about Bogut breaking his leg a minute into his Cav career, but it is funny in a way. Dude never even pretended he wanted to be in Dallas.

I definitely wasn't sad or upset in anyway when I heard what happened. Bogut seemed to think he was " too good" to be a maverick the whole time he was here. The guy thinks his **** doesn't stink because he won a championship one year. I recall every single opponent the warriors faced that year was suffering from major injuries.

Funny, I never got that impression from Bogut. I just think he didn't fit here with his style- the numbers clearly bore it out.

I never wish ill will on the guy- it's kinda sad he just got to the Cavs and now has a season-ending injury. What's funny about it is how close the Mavs could've been in that situation had they not secured a trade for him in the first place.

Congrats, Dirk! This is coming from a Spurs fan. He is a unique and excellent player.

It will be interesting to see if LeBron can break Kareem's scoring record. He's 32 and roughly 10,000 points away. He's scored in the 1800-2000 points per season range for his career, but it seems unlikely that he can keep this up into his late 30s.
