Luka Dončić was asked if facing the Dallas Mavericks gave him closure about the trade.

"The closure is going to take a while, I think... It's not ideal, but like I said, I'm glad this game is over. There's a lot of emotions, but we go little by little, and every day is better." pic.twitter.com/cl4Wfvifc2

I think it is pretty easy to argue actually. The Mavs currently have +6600 title odds. That is an implied probability of 1.5%. Mavs have better odds to get Cooper Flagg at this point.gigem1223 said:
This team is absolutely a title contender when healthy. Not sure how you can even argue that. The question is, will they get healthy?

For whatever it's worth, as an OKC fan, I'm more scared of full strength Mavs in a 7 game series than I am of the Lakers.
The Dallas Mavericks reportedly had an issue with Luka Dončić smoking hookah and drinking beer, per @TheAthletic

“Make no mistake, the people who witnessed Dončić’s last days in Dallas do not paint a flattering portrait of the 25-year-old’s professionalism. They call him lazy.… pic.twitter.com/MgopdlCH2J
People aren't refusing to believe the guy likes beer and isn't doing crossfit 5 times a week. This coping argument conveniently forgets what Luka has been leading this team to while smoking hookah, drinking beer, slamming hookers, and whatever hell else anonymous sources want to throw out as a future prediction of where his health goes.shack009 said:
Because people like you refuse to believe it despite it being a well documented concern the entire time he was here?
It's not a justification after the fact, it's the entire reason for the trade and it was stated at the time.
Again, you're assuming/predicting he'll be injured. Maybe you'll end up right and you'll feel even better about the trade. But the guy we are paying similar money to is living up to his nickname at the moment.shack009 said:
Not paying that guy nearly half the cap.
And what in the ever-loving f *ck was trading Grimes for an injured player about? How is that for "win now"?jeffdjohnson said:
The Mavs potentially have great front court and wing play. What they need is an elite all-NBA PG to pair with Kyrie. That would make them title contenders. It's unfortunate that they don't have one of those.

Nico is either a total idiot or has the worst luck....we all know it's the former.
But nights like last night, when we could have used some (any) additional offense, make it even more apparent.shack009 said:dave94 said:And what in the ever-loving f *ck was trading Grimes for an injured player about? How is that for "win now"?jeffdjohnson said:

Nonsense. It will be at least 5 years until Dallas wins another 7 game playoff series. They may never win another one while located in Dallas prior to moving to LV.Deluxe said:

I'm ready for him to quit or die. Whichever is cleaner.mavsfan4ever said:
Everything Nico does just makes it worse.
