If Sochan can develop into what Aaron Gordon does for Jokic for Wemby, where he plays 4 and can run some backup small ball 5 in the right matchup, that to me is his path to a lot of minutes. The spacing is less of an issue with that configuration and he can do Draymond lite thing as a playmaker.

I love him, but he has a long way to go. His perimeter defense is quality and we did see a lot of improvement from year 1 to 2. He just isn't as effective inside. I think maybe second team with Bassey at center is more likely.

And I do think Pop wants 5 guys that can create for others on the floor and Sochan definitely fits that archetype a bit. His offensive and post (O & D) BBIQ just both need to improve a ton. I think he is capable of doing it and his floor is a high energy high defense bench perimeter defender that has some scoring, transition, and passing ability.

Yeah, while I appreciate the PG experiment for what it was, I think they need to develop him with the mindset of making him elite in the things he does well - there is a role for that now around Wemby. If he can be just adequate at the rest of the stuff and not be a total offensive liability, they can work with that.

I'd rather him be a stud roleplayer with the things he does well than be average to good at everything. It seems like his development is going to stagnate if they try to make him "well rounded". Let him be a maniac at the things he's already shown an aptitude for, then maybe add to his toolkit. He's still young enough, plenty of time.

Last year he put up about 12/6/3/1 and 31% from three. if that could just be like 15/7/4 with 38% from three, we have a pretty elite role player. All I really care about is improving his 3pt shooting, improving finishing at the rim, and improving his defense overall. Just incremental upgrades each year would be fantastic.

KJ...I love his energy but damn dude, dial it down just a bit. Feels like he knows he's limited in minutes so he just redlines everything to make up for it. He's been like that for well over a season. It's who he is at this point and I'm not as big of a fan as I used to be.

Champagnie has leveled up I think.

Barnes and CP really do elevate this team's floor. I knew they would but damn, the difference is huge. We no longer have to play perfect possessions just to stay within striking distance.

Still not sure what Zach Collins brings if he's not shooting well because it damn sure ain't interior..anything. Need some interior D when Wemby isn't on the floor. Mamu should be getting some of those minutes especially against a team like Dallas that's strong up the middle.

That was a foul on Sochan by Kleber at the rim. Before that Victor had an easy tip in to bring it to 5. Instead the flagrant foul happened and it ballooned to 11. Victor has got to wake up.
