The second half, on the other hand…
78-52 Memphis, and Morant postered Wemby. Ick.

Vassell had a pretty good game offensively. That was a pathetic performance by him on the defensive side of the ball. He's not the only one. Champegnie and Keldon as well. These guys need to start taking some pride in the defensive side of the ball. There is a noticeable lack of effort on that side of the ball. Especially when you compare it to what Memphis just showed us.

Let's be honest. Most of these guys wouldn't even be rotation players for the Griz. The front office has a lot of work todo to surround Wemby and I'm not confident in Pop, RC, and Wright to deliver.
They seem stuck on chasing athletes while everyone else is loading up on shooters. Reminds me a lot of what Buzz is doing over at Reed.

This isn't a talent problem. It's scheme and coaching that make the Grizz good. That assistant coach they have is on quite a run winning COY in 3 different leagues.
He's already the second best player on the team. Just has to learn the ropes a bit but he's got more talent then anybody else outside of Wemby. They just need to let him play at this point. He's earned the right to play through whatever rookie mistakes he makes.Enzo The Baker said:
Castle is so good man. As soon as he gets a decent shot and stops forcing it on drives, particularly against bigs, he's gonna be excellent. There were a few defensive possessions where he was guarding Ja, and he didn't bite on anything. I was thinking, how is this a rookie?
100% If he was a 45/35 shooter, if he putting up 17/6/4 this year with very high level defense.Enzo The Baker said:

Was that swap in SA or on the road somewhere?
Either way it sucks

Chilling at a cool starting bid of $10,000, the jersey is set to be auctioned off beginning next week, according to the site's details. But get this San Antonio, not only did the website acknowledge the fact that this was the jersey from the swap that night, it's part of the memorabilia's main selling points.
Here's a little of what the site's description had to say:
"Sometimes, the easiest way to get something is to ask, but it seems as if this simple truth is often forgotten due to the fear of rejection," the listing reads. "Sure, rejection is a possibility, but so too is the possibility of getting exactly what you want."
The description continues: "Now, jersey swaps are a common occurrence in the NBA, usually between players who had just spent the last couple hours competing against one another. The jersey swap Wembanayama participated in at the end of the game was a little bit different; as he was exiting the court to head to the locker room, Wembanayama caught sight of a sign that read 'Victor Wembanayam, will you swap jerseys with me?' Holding that sign was a diminutive young Spurs fan in a youth-sized retail Wembanyama jersey. Wembanyama, who has swiftly developed a reputation as a man of the people due to positive interactions with fans, immediately stripped this offered San Antonio Spurs City Edition basketball jersey from his back and exchanged it with the young fan, with the two even standing side by side for a quick photo op (with the massive height difference making for an incredible image)."
