Keldon actually did a good job on Bane, where as Vassell was getting cooked. Laravia has a lot more size and should have been Sochans man.

It's reaching a point into the season where coaching seems to be showing itself. Assuming Pop is done on the bench, I wonder who we can realistically target this off season. This team needs a coach with championship experience. Nothing against Mitch but they need someone who actually knows what they are doing.

You'd be sick too if you watched your team get annihilated by the Grizzlies second round and undrafted guys while your teammates can't hit the broad side of the barn. He watched his interim coach stand there with his head up their ass while they ripped off a 16-0 run without calling a timeout or challenging the Devin goaltend despite the players on the floor and several on the bench (including assistants) telling him to challenge.

Spurs shoulda hired Ime when they had the chance. Unfortunately that ship has sailed. Call Spo and see if he wants to coach Wemby. Maybe Kerr or Bud will come home. Need someone with championship experience though.

Looked it up and you are right, Curry signed a 1y extension so he would have been a FA in 26, now 27.

Spurs aren't winning anything this year. The play-in would have been fun, but it's not a priority. There's no reason not to let him come back and coach and go out on the bench on not on the couch.

They haven't been playing well lately and I attribute that to Coach Pop being away so long. Every team covers you inside out. Nobody is giving up layups in order to stick to 3pt shooters. Our issues have been staying in front of ball handlers and then making smarter decisions when you need to help.FTAG 2000 said:

Talent wise they've missed Sochan. I know he catches grief on here but he's an elite defender and energy players. This team has noticeably lost that edge while he's been out. It also hurts to have Castle NOT be your backup PG because Jones has been bad.
All that said, you continually say the talent and coaching sucks. So why watch if you think its hopeless? This team will probably double the win total from last year. Does that mean the coaching is twice as good? or the talent was lucked into by this "inept" front office? Which is it?
