So I've been thinking of a comp for Jayden for a few days as I've watched videos like this and some of his highlights at ASU, and I really think the player he's closest to is Amen Thompson (but like the super shredder pumped up version) if we look at current players only.
He's not going to shoot, but I think in the NBA with more spacing than he ever had in college he's going to be able to slash and I think he'll rule the dunker spot. He's just a fluid and quick athlete with a big motor. And we're all hopeful that he'll immediately be an impact player defensively. Also one of the scouting reports I read noted that he was actually a fairly competent passer for a big, so while I don't think he'll be as adept as a creator as Amen is, it's not impossible to imagine Jayden making the right pass more often than not.
Who knows exactly what he'll look like out there coming off his injury, but I got myself extra hyped thinking about the possibility of him being that kind of high energy swiss army knife for us that can impact winning without being able to shoot.
I've seen some say that if he gets back to AS healthy, he's a lot like Jalen Duren with the size and athleticism. Wouldn't be a bad outcome, as long as he doesnt **** the bed in the playoffs.
A lot compared him to a 255lb version of Rob Williams.
Some said what if Draymond Green was 6'10, 255 but wasn't a passing hub because JQ has the defensive versatility and agility like Draymond.
Defensively, he could legitimately be Bam while Rob Williams or DeAndre Jordan offensively. I don't see any 83 point games in his future.
And remember, JQ is still 18 (for another week or two.)

I think Tarris Reed might be a better Derrick Favors with passing.
