Last night was miserable. Kershaw was dominant.

Atmosphere was awesome last night and we got some clutch hitting against Grienke. Good win.

Who before the year would have predicted the Braves season would come down to the arm of Freddy Garcia............

I actually like the idea of facing Kershaw again. I don't think he will fare well after such a short time off. I could be wrong though. Time will tell

Agree with Anchor. Gonna be a tough game either way, but this is Kershaw's first career start on short rest, so who knows what happens. If we win, I like our odds a lot better against Grienke again vs a well rested Kershaw in game 5.

Well that sucks. Hats off to the Dodgers. They hit, played, and pitched better. I guess I'm pulling for the Bucs and As now.

Bullpen was great all year but gives it up tonight. Uggla and B Upton need to figure something out this offseason if we want to have a chance next year. It'll be interesting to see who is back if any of McCann, Venters, EOF, and some of the others. Need to figure out what to do with Gattis too.

I'm fine with Kimbrel not pitching the 8th. As the commentators said last night, you don't make your players do things they've never done before in the playoffs. Which is why I thought it was stupid for Mattingly to start Kershaw last night.

Kimbrel has been in that position before. During the regular season and I thought he did it in our only post season win.

Just went back and looked. Kimbrel pitched 1.1 innings in game 2.

Braves will have a new stadium in 2017

Venters signs a 1 year deal.

Braves sign Gavin Floyd to 1 year deal.

They also traded Sean Gilmartin to the Twins for Ryan Doumit. Doumit's a pretty good bench bat that can play several positions, including catcher.

Gilmartin was awful at Gwinnett last season. He was drafted to be a Glavine clone, but he doesn't seem to have good enough control and doesn't have an out pitch. I remember when the Ags played FSU in the super regional, and they beat Gilmartin. He was less than impressive in that game. The Braves didn't trade him at peak value, as he was pretty highly thought of before 2013, but another season like last year and he would have had zero trade value. They have enough young starting pitchers in the organization to go ahead and trade a guy like this.

Probably time for a 2014 thread, but I'm pleased to see Maddux and Glavine going into the HOF with Bobby!
