Ump was bad. For both teams.
Edit: I guess my example of bregman and springer vs Kershaw was ambiguous in intent. I used it as an example to try and show that even when Kershaw was hitting his spots he wasn't getting consistent calls. Everything about that zone last night was inconsistent, and it went both ways. Reddick got reamed on the mirror image of the pitch that Turner got reamed on right before his homerun. Neither of those were even close to a strike.
I don't think the ump had an agenda, and I'm not arguing the Astros would have won if the zone was more accurate. Just pointing out that the calls were BAD all around.
