To get back on track, what a baseball season this has been. Ags make it to Omaha and my Dodgers make it to World Series but come up short. At least Astros fans will be appeased.

I think everyone knows the box is bad. I think when you have multiple batters from both sides questioning the balls and strikes and entire ABs flipping in leverage, it's beyond the box.

Interesting factoid LA has almost 11,500 resale tickets on StubHub tomorrow starting at $400. Tickets started at over twice that for game 1, with far fewer available.

My family is elated. I'm a lifelong Astros fan, but my middle son plays Little League for the Dodgers, and I coach him, so they've become my NL team, and his favorite team by a country mile. What an incredible series! Who could've ever guessed our two favorite family teams playing a World Series for the ages?!?!

Literally everyone did. Both franchises adopted the "new school" way of running their organizations. As everyone keeps referencing the SI piece, the Astros have been predicted to be this good now awhile ago. The Dodgers brought in Friedman and used their payroll to remain competitive.

The Astros and Dodgers were on a collision course for each other since the a quarter way through the season.

It will be a rough go for LA if they lose tonight. They've been a favorite to win the pennant for 5 years and only got it once. Then they run into an offensive buzz saw.

edit: not saying LA deserves anything. Either team would have earned the title. The resume just looks rougher from LA's side if they lose.

It was more of a rhetorical question, demonstrating the excitement in our household that our 2 favorite teams are playing one another in a fantastic World Series rather than a question looking for any sort of direct answer. I'm aware of all you stated. But thanks for stating it, I guess...

The fan on the 1st row in LF whiffed on the catch and he had a glove.

I am also satisfied with decision of best record gets home field instead of retreaded winner of All Star game.
