It was very odd to see so many empty seats after the 16th inning. Yea, it was 6 hours in at that point...but your team is down 0-2 needing that win to stay alive. It wasn't even midnight yet when they were filing out!

Normal for L.A. They had to get to sleep for morning latte, yoga and wake-n-bake.

I am definitely feeling the effects of the 18 inning game with 4 hours of sleep.

Wow, just seeing the Kinsler throwing error that kept LA alive. In some respects he's the new Buckner. I agree with the poster above. He had time. If he just collects himself and gets set before making the throw, it's 3-0 Sox.

So what happens over the next 2 games with the Sox bullpen? This is what makes baseball sobmuch fun. One error and you go from being up 3-0 in a series to now questioning how todays game will go with a taxed pen.

The Red Sox also burned three starters: Price, ERodriguez and Eovaldi. Plus Red Sox are on the road and probably didn't get back to hotel til 4AM.

Going to be a very interesting Game 4+? Dick Mountain versus Sale tonight?

Boston's relief pitchers only threw an inning each outside of Kimbrel. Pomeranz starts, ERod available for a long stretch along with the rest of the pen. Not that worried, as long as kinsler stays home tonight.

have to give Roberts credit...he got Cora to foolishly go "all-in" with his pitching staff in a game that was not a must win.

Eh I disagree. He gave up his game 4 starter but saved his bullpen. If Boston can jump on LA's starter and force him out early tonight could get ugly. Eovaldi has been lights out in the pen and will be available for 6 and 7

An inning or 2? I think so. Price threw relief on one day of rest, and clinched the ALCS on three days. Schilling and Johnson did similar things in Arizona. This is the World Series; there's plenty of time to rest next week

If they lose this I think it's as bad, it was a routine play. He may have missed first by further than the original hit missed first base. All he had to do was take another step and gather control. But even a semi closer throw that pulls the 1st baseman off the bag doesn't allow a run to score.

I'm sure he will cash in, but he has a history of injuries so it'll be a roll of the dice for whoever gives him that big contract. He definitely looks good here lately. You just have to wonder if he can maintain it for the long term deal that I am sure he will be seeking.

I said an inning or two. He won't get a start, because the rotation will start over in game 5. Sale, Price, Porcello. And I doubt we'll get another 18 inning game.
