The Red Sox won 108 games, beat the 100 win Yankees in 4 and the 103 win Astros in 5. The bullpen is a weakness, relatively speaking.

Yes! Although I feel this Dodger team is more talented than '88 team and Red Sox are not the A's. This will be a good series despite the input from above posters.

Dozier hits .182 in regular season and Roberts starts him at 2nd in G1 of WS. Roberts is bewildering.

Going for the Dodgers have a few Aggie connections but Boston is on a tear in the playoffs. They run a super aggressive offense. Also Kershaw velo is way down from his injuries. He once averaged 95-96 FB he's down to 90-92 plus his strikeouts and innings are down

Does anyone know why Stripling hasn't been on the postseason roster for the Dodgers? He wasn't on it for the NLCS and isn't on the WS roster.
I know he had some injury issues late in the year but I thought that was behind him.

think they shut him down for the season towards the end of the regular season . Kept struggling with injuries came back briefly in August and it didn't go well. That's what I recall anyway. Had a great start to the season and made the all-star game.
Need to get to Red Sox bullpen and sub in Bellinger for Keke who has a hole in his bat.
Dave Roberts being Dave Roberts... pulling a guy who was rolling and the next guy gives up a HR. Wasn't a terrible pitch but damn, that guy can't seem to make the right bullpen moves.

I agree as well. Kershaw wasn't happy to be Game 2 starter in NLCS. He threw Friday night in Milwaukee which would have been bullpen work day and had 3 days rest (Saturday, Sunday and Monday). Plus he pitched when Dozier, Keke and Friese were starting R vs L Sale. I would have thrown Ryu with lesser lineup against Sale.
Oh well...Game 2...
