I didn't. Seems like every penalty I can remember being assessed after a round was 2 strokes so I wrongly assumed.
In this case, no harm no foul by anyone.

Ever hit an approach to the green that gets embedded? Should that be played as-is? If not, how do you determine which embedded lies should get relief and which should not?
I'd be open to divot relief in a fairway but the embedded rule is a good one IMO.
We play that way on our group. We take relief in a fairway divot.

That's the great thing about this final round. Anything is possible and conditions look great.aggiebonzo said:
Brooks appears to be the only LIV player not wearing of the team logos
Jesus. Not this **** again. For claiming not to care, you sure seem personally offended by the PGA. Enough to quote a post from yesterday/late last night when the rest of us just want to chat about the golf today.AgLA06 said:Absolutely.bagger05 said:

But if you don't thing the PGAT and their media mouth pieces don't care, you've been living under a rock. 2 majors in a row where LIV players have had a good chunk of the leaderboard in comparison to the ratio of LIV players in the field doesn't jive to all the "they don't deserve world golf points". Either the LIV players are just as good as the best PGAT players (still) or the PGAT sure as heck doesn't deserve all the highly skewed points either.
It's why that approach never made sense if the LIV players ever had any success internationally. Just another example of less than stellar PGAT leadership.
I think Hovland has the potential to be a better this generation Kutcher / Furyk. Perennial top 20 player that just cashes above average checks every. single. week. There's a good check we look up and he's top 10 on the all time money list in 20 years, but never gets the accolades of players that are more boom or bust every tournament.aggiebonzo said:
I'm pulling for Brooks as much as I hate he went to that stupid tour . Also think Victor finally pulling off a major win would be fun as well. Hopefully they duel it out and don't fade.
He really is something special with the irons. Just throwing darts everywhere and consistently at almost every tournament. But man, he just can't figure out the flat stick.aggiebonzo said:
Scottie needs to hit every approach to a foot in order to have a chance. Not entirely out of reach for him.
He would lap the field if he was in the top 10 SG puttingBuck Compton said:He really is something special with the irons. Just throwing darts everywhere and consistently at almost every tournament. But man, he just can't figure out the flat stick.aggiebonzo said:

Buck Compton said:How do you write a rule that says whether the embedded ball was a result of a good shot or a bad shot? Embedded ball in green or in rough 5 feet from the shot or as it lands are all treated the same.safety guy said:
The embedded rule to me is odd. Hitting a ball onto the green or hitting into a divot, you at least hit good shots. But when a guy doesn't clear the lip of a bunker, that is a bad shot and should have some type of penalty. It's like hitting into a bush. You have to take a penalty and a drop.

If you haven't noticed, you'll notice after reading this.
The amount of piped-in birds chirping on the CBS broadcast is very annoying. There's a big gap between a golf course and a bird sanctuary.
Try not to hear it now, and you'll likely be as annoyed as I am.
That's fair. I honestly think that was more a coping mechanism to excuse his performance outside of them.El_duderino said:
I'm just going off of his own past comments essentially saying he cares only about majors. Dude is throwing some serious darts on the first 3
