I'm not saying don't like the guy, I like him just fine and think he's a better coach than most give him credit for, I'm just talking about the "2 sweet 16s!" thing that people bring up with Kennedy. It ignores A LOT about the Kennedy era.

How good of a coach Kennedy is or isn't doesn't change because Northern Iowa forgot how to play basketball for a minute. And I've talked about this before, but smoking North Carolina in the second round was as much an indictment on how we played the last three months of the 2018 season as it was an incredible win. That roster being an 8 seed was absurd.

No offense to those guys, but that's a sad list.



I'm biased but I put Shelby higher than Kennedy, and could argue at the very top due to longevity. Basketball in general, and in particular in the SWC, wasnt that big of a thing thru most of his tenure.

Personally, I like Kennedy. But IMO he wasn't building the program.

Apparently there was no media members from Maryland there, so he just did an interview with the Maryland radio team
