Yep. Short of pulling star players in really suspicious ways, there's not much a baseball coach can do to throw a game. But I'm starting to believe they would have if they could have.
You can leave an already overworked relief pitcher in the game for just a little too long...
Whether it was throwing the series, or just plain bad coaching, it doesn't really matter. It was bad decision making. Bringing Cortez into the 2nd game, in the 2nd inning with none of our regular guys available behind him was a disaster from the beginning.
