I would be cool (pun intended) with moving the match to Houston to play indoors.
But I see on a press release that the only change is to move the match to 1:00 to accomodate Pepperdine's schedule.
Temps around 48 degrees at 1:00? That's what I see, checking the weather online. Certainly not tennis weather but they will play through it and get ready for the first SEC match with the sips.

I didn't get to see the start of the final, but Carson was playing hurt. My guess is abs or some core muscle, her overhead shots were way off and you can tell she was in a lot of pain. I thought she was going to retire at any minute, but she stuck it out and finished the match.
Arango DID lose only one set in the tournament and she IS rated fairly high but after Carson's great win over Joint I thought it would be closer. She may have been hurting a bit. Tennis IS hard on the body, after all. Sucks, but that's life on the tour.
Still, it's great that she made it to the final of a WTA125 !!!

I wonder if they will give away warm clothing ?! Parkas, hats, gloves, etc.
I wonder if the bigwigs in the athletic department are checking out the temp and wondering why our team has to play outdoors in this weather? Probably not.

Let's make this quick enough to still play out on all courts. After a 1-4 start to the season, the waves are on a two match win streak. This will be Pepperdine's last time playing outside of the west coast until maybe the NCAAs (they'll go to seattle and twice to northern california) and likely the last collegiate match for preseason top ten Savannah Broadus, 3-5 in dual matches, to play in her native Texas (we can feel bad for her afterward).

Looks like Lex. A few thinking it might be Jeanette after last few times out. I am fine with either of them and usually pay attention to Lines 5 and 6 a lot anyway.

I think Lex is due. She won several in a row before the last few times. I think she will come back. Still sailing a few but hopefully not too many!
Her opponent HAS won a bunch of junior titles but Lex will do it !!
On the other hand, after Lex just lost the first game she slowly walked to the bench whilst her opponent sprinted back. Then Lex slowly walked back on to the court. No energy. But I'm an optimist !!
Darn, I forgot, Lex simply has a relaxed walk. A good thing.
