Okay, internet gurus, where I can I see some of the former episodes I missed? I think I probably missed the first 5 episodes. The rest I have on my DVR.

Even if he was, the guy wasn't armed. Malvo isn't the kind of guy anyone could get too upset about though.

Malvo did have the big knife that he used to cut his pants, and the gun with silencer across the room.

Now that said, explaining why Gus would be in the house to begin with is a bit different matter, but as you mentioned, no one is really going to care when the guy just left bodies all across town, including LEO's.

He'll be in more trouble with Molly than the law.

I managed to predict Gus killing Malvo, but I was hoping to see Molly put the cuffs on Lester. I was thinking we'd get a bit of a callback to the movie when they caught up with William H Macy and he wailed like a beech. That said, the audio tape proof and Lester's icy plunge was even better ending in my book.

I also enjoyed the scene with Odenkirk deciding to quit.

Overall, just a great series.

Yeah the start of the show with Lester going into the diner and acting oblivious was really hard to watch.

Well done.

I had my issues throughout the series with some of the plot points. But that was overall very well written and directed and highly entertaining. I agree with Jock, that series like this are showing that the future for storytelling is probably TV, like this. 8-10 episodes, one or two seasons. You can get great actors and writers signed on because they're not signing on to work for years and years.

And you can tell a better story than you can in 90-120 minutes. Characters can develop better.

Lester made his turn pretty quickly in this series. But he continued to evolve.

Gus stopped his car because the wolf was in the road. It just so happened that the wolf caused Gus to stop in the right place where he could see the red BMW. He didn't follow the wolf to the house, he was watching the red BMW and saw Malvo leave the house.

The riddle was why can humans see more shades of green than any other color? The answer (which Molly gave Gus after Malvo initially asked) was predators. Our eyesight evolved to spot predators in nature.

Basically, Malvo was telling Gus he was a predator, and you're either predator or prey.

In the end, Gus became the predator - and told Malvo such just before wasting him (by telling him he'd solved the riddle).

No way no how would I get out of my car after just seeing a wolf whether I was following it or not.

I took the glove story to be that Lester was the lost glove and Malvo was the glove in Molly's hand. Molly may have lost Lester but she had the Malvo glove but by tossing that glove on the platform she would allow someone else to get both of them.

I was thinking the red bmw was going to be used to somehow lure someone in and waste them. Otherwise, it seems like if you're trying to lay low and sneak around, you should choose a different car.

Also, Malvo was obsessed with wolves. He was constantly referencing them a la "dog eat dog", "Rome was the greatest civilization because it was founded by wolves", etc.

I wasn't THAT worried about it....but since the idea of a supernatural element being introduced in the show came up earlier in this thread....part of me was really hoping they wouldn't somehow spin Malvo being able to transform in and out of the form of a Wolf (which would help explain his elusiveness in disappearing from the basement in the first episode, etc)

When the wolf was spotted in front of the cabin, and when Malvo was quickly missing from the bear trap, I thought there was a 1% or so chance they'd pull this on us

Anyone else have that thought in the back of their mind?

I have also been worried that Malvo would turn out to be THE Devil, not just devilish. I was worried when, having been shot three times, he smiled that evil, red-mouthed smile. But then Gus put one in his mouth and another in his head, and all was well.

And at the time, it did occur to me that Malvo might be able to shape-shift. That would have ruined the series for me.

All turned out well.

Yeah, I was thinking Malvo might be the devil, and like old army said, when he smiled after the 3 shots, I was sort of expecting a supernatural twist.

Read the article I posted from the writer. He talks about how he tried to keep it as much as a plausibly "true story" as possible. Supernatural causes are out of the question.

So with this show and Silicon Valley over, I really need a new show to watch. I haven;t been binging as of late, just watching those 2 shows weekly. I'm thinking maybe true detective would be another good mystery show that's a digestible length.

I also haven't seen several other shows that come highly recommended like Dexter (early seasons), The wire, and Game of Thrones (I know)

Tyrant starts soon. I'm giving it a shot.

Andy Greenwald has a great interview with Hawkey on his Hollywood Prospectus podcast on Grantland this week. Very interesting.

Seen HoC. I think it was the last show I binged. Great show, but now we have to wait another 10 months for season 3.

He's not the only one, we discussed it earlier in the thread. The reference to the Garden of Eden, Malvo's crazy escapes and smoothness. Glad they didn't play that card though.

Yeah, it wouldn't have crossed my mind at all if not for this thread....Would have been a HUGE change from the movie's overall feel though, which this show pretty much kept on par.

Actually, think True Blood (for those that have watched it).
