2. My Vampire Weekend ticket comes with a free copy of their new cd. I got the email to input my address and it offered an upgrade option to the standard vinyl for $22.86. How is that an upgrade? I can get the vinyl full price for less than that on Amazon. I optioned for the cd. I've been buying vinyl for all new releases but that's ridiculous.

Metallica in Lubbock on Saturday

Metric was awesome last night in Houston. Emily is a rock star. Great set list and energy.

The opener was Zoe, which is apparently a pretty big Mexican rock band. I don't know spanish so I couldn't really get totally into it, but musically they were very good.

The crowd was biggest for like last half of Zoe/first half of Metric, as both fan bases were there. As Metric played I could slowly see some Zoe people filtering out song by song.

Saw Kacey Musgraves tonight at the Ryman. There's not a better venue in the country (except maybe Red Rocks).

Metallica crushed it in Lubbock last night.

Jim Breuer was in the floor rocking out with me and my brother. Super cool dude.

Denver at the Paramount, I bet tix start at $40 ish. How much would you expect to pay for OLP by themselves?

I don't look at is paying for the other bands.. this isn't a festival.

Agree, but I expect OLP to have a pretty short set if they are the third billed. Maybe 30-45 minutes max.

I saw the Turnpike Troubadours at the Rodeo this past weekend. I am not that familiar with their music. They sounded great though. I know that the band never has to worry about the singer going solo though, as he had the charisma of a 2x4. We made fun of him most of the set. Never talked, smiled, showed emotion, just stared and sang like a robot.
