anybody see the korn / AIC show in Texas? Curious who closed the show. I am a casual fan of Korn, but hope I don't have to sit through their entire set to see AIC.

You perfectly described my attitude about the show prior to seeing it, but Korn puts on a GREAT show, it's worth it! You can skip the first two openers though haha.

It's also more of babysitter consideration. I have a few neighbors and we all switch watching kids now and again, but if I know I'm home at say 10-10:30, it's an easier sell than getting home closer to midnight since it's show is on a Sunday. Hoping to watch maybe 1/3 or 1/2 of korns set. I've seen korn before.. but it was in '95 hah!

Definitely not interested in those two openers. I've heard them both on satellite and can't stand it.

What time did AIC start? I'm guessing 7:30 ish?

I think it was around 8 here in Texas. Err on the side of caution though. Definitely still light outside. And VERY hot!

If you get a chance to catch the Def Leppard residency in Vegas, I highly recommend it. Incredible setlist and show. Attended on Saturday and it was the best show since I saw them there in 2013.

If you can get pit seats for Zappos theater, it's the way to go.

Have you been there before? I saw Vampire Weekend there last weekend. First time I'd been on the lawn. Wasn't a big fan of the venue. I love it indoors, but the lawn was wildly crowded. Also seemed like everyone around me was just talking instead of paying attention. I would have preferred they played Revention.

I prefer the indoor downstairs or upstairs venues, but if you get to the lawn early and close it's definitely better than being on the hill or the fringes where the wannabe social media influencers hang out.

I got there early in the openers set and was relegated to the sides, so must have been in the social influencer crowd.

I'm 6' 2" so I hate to push my way to a better view if it's already crowded and screw some short person with my presence.

Heart's "Heart" album is one of the great albums of all time. They are only playing "What About Love," though. I think their Brigade album also was very underrated. It includes my favorite Heart song of all time, "Wild Child." However, they have never (at least not on tour) played it in concert. Anyway, they were the last of the 5 classic rock bucket list bands I hadn't seen, so glad to get the chance (the others were Def Leppard, Rush, Boston, and Journey).

saw Heart with Leppard a few years back at AT&T in San Antonio. Very, very good still. Coincidentally, first time I saw Joan Jett was with Leppard at the Fair Park Coliseum in Lubbock. She had the crowd barking like dogs and it was nothing short of hilarious watching 40+ year old dudes howling like dogs.

We saw Queen + Adam Lambert last week in Nashville, followed by Carrie Underwood, the Old Crow Medicine Show, Ricky Skaggs, and others at the Grand Ol Opry the next night. Talk about one end of the spectrum to the other.

We're seeing the Zombies at the Hard Rock and Def Leppard at Planet Hollywood (the one that
LSCSN mentioned above) in Vegas over Labor Day, and the Doobie Bros in El Paso at the end of Sept.

I saw it too. Was a little bored early since I didn't recognize the newer tunes but overall it was great. Lots of laughs including some cool footage. Would have appreciate more with Neal and his motorcycle rides as he's the most unknown entity in the group.

Caught Tracy Lawrence at the Waco Hippodrome last night. Lots of new tunes in the set, no Renegades Rebels and Rogues. Otherwise very good per the norm.

Edited because I dont know why the photo is so large

Thought it was a great show. Setlist missed a couple of good ones but at nearly 70 Ann Wilson can truly wail
Played one of my favorites that isn't as well known and nailed it in Little Queen.
Joan Jett was very good also and had a great setlist for the band

Made it to all 3 VW shows. Was able to get barrier on the second night. Luck was on my side and a woman gave me her +1 while in the stand by line for the ACL taping. Also waited it out at night and was able to meet Ezra Koenig who was super cool. Signed my vinyl and chatted for just a couple secs since he was heading out.

The Stairway tribute was incredible. I knew the set list in advance, so wasn't disappointed. But gosh, I would have liked to hear Never, If Looks Could Kill, or something from the Brigade album. It really speaks to their depth. It's not like Rush, who would go out there and jam for 3.5 hours. As you said, Joan Jett was amazing too.

Def Leppard was fantastic, but get there early. The start right at 8:00 even though the doors didn't open until 7:45, which was ridiculous.

The Zombies were actually the opening act for Brian Wilson and were also fantastic. Brian Wilson was a joke, however. They propped him up behind a piano that he never played, and the band did all the work. The band did include Al Jardine and his son Matthew who sang most of the Brian Wilson parts. They started with a couple of Beach Boys hits, then wandered off into some weird stuff. Wilson did try to sing on God Only Knows and another one I've never heard but it was really pathetic. We left in the middle as did a lot of other folks.
