Any idea of when the official trailer drops?

Paramount premiered the final trailer at CinemaCon on April 27, and I would have bet money it would debut publicly a week later with GOTG3, but they said it wasn't quite ready yet (which I assume means special effects). Paramount's next movie is Transformers: Rise of the Beasts, but that's not until June 9, which feels way too late, as it's only a month before the movie itself releases. The first trailer debuted nearly a YEAR ago, with Top Gun: Maverick, and we haven't had a new trailer - or even a TV spot - since, so we're long overdue, especially for a movie premiering mid-July. So, my best guess is next week with Fast X. Any later wouldn't make much sense, but who knows what they're planning...

Boom. As of today, the trailer is finally done and indeed looks to (hopefully) be premiering next week...

It's weird how wildly marketing seems to vary for blockbusters these days. I feel like I've been seeing trailers for this at the theater for like a year now, and Fast X for maybe a couple months, and that comes out first.

The only reason we got an M:I7 trailer so early was because of Top Gun. In fact, I've never seen a trailer drop 14 months prior to release like that. But Paramount knew what they had in TG:M, and I'm assuming didn't want to pass up the synergy opportunity. What surprised me more was no trailer since. Yes, we got that behind-the-scenes look with Avatar: The Way of Water at Christmas, which had a few new shots, but otherwise... nothing. That said, next week with Fast X should kick off a marketing blitz over the next two months, with the NBA conference finals starting next week, school letting out, a sh*t on of blockbuster releases the new trailer will be attached to between now and July 12, etc.

I'm conflicted...I am always excited to see MI content, but I would also really like to wait and see all new footage on the big screen.

It might be due to my age when it came out, but I actually like MI:2 and have seen it and the original more than any of the other MI's.

First trailer was more hype - legitimately perfect.
This one gets into the heart/challenges Ethan faces - the mission vs. your friends vs. yourself that the movie will explore

Some great call backs to the first film (train fight, and the guy from the dinner/aquarium scene making a reprisal). Del from Ozark as the villain should be awesome. Can't wait!

Cool trailer. But you don't need all the fancy stunts and tech wizardry to take down that villain. A pillowcase and a few cans of off-brand coke is all it takes.

Correction, Esai Morales was a bad guy in Bad Boys (the original, not the Will Smith movie), but he wasn't the one taken down with a pillow case filled with coke cans.
