Tom Cruise doesn't age, why would he be afraid of a little COVID-19?

If you're interested in this thread, you might want to know that MI:1 through Fallout (6 films) are currently on sale as a bundle on iTunes for $29.99.

Lot of other good $4.99 titles as well.

Unfortunately, Paramount is not a member of Movies Anywhere, so you'd only be able to watch them on Apple devices.

Ah, that sucks. I'm pretty locked into the Apple ecosystem so not an issue for me, but I totally understand why you might not want to be.

MoviesAnywhere has been a great step towards a solution though.

Esai Morales (Ozark) has joined the cast. The "fate" line is potentially either a tagline of sorts or dialogue from one of the two sequels.

The score during the Solomon Lane extraction scene is very Zimmer / Dark Knight Rises - esque, and I love it.

Not to mention the scene itself is pretty similar to the extraction of Dent in TDK.

Dude. Yes. It had the fewest eye-popping, "impossible" stunts, but boasts the best villain of the series, and arguably has the most soul/emotion. It's so good, and so fun, and helped set the tone for what the series has become today.

Are we positive that Cruise is doing all these stunts himself? Any chance his PR machine is promoting this stuff but there's actually a stunt double involved?

Would a stunt double even be crazy enough to do these freak things?

I believed the reports about Cruise doing that halo jump and flying that chopper in Fallout, but when I mention this to friends they all say "yeah, right".

It's absolutely him when he says it is All of the behind-the-scenes videos prove it

It's actually part of the selling point for the series in that he does all of his stance himself No way he fakes that
TCTTS

I mean, he literally broke his leg jumping from one building to another, causing a huge delay in production of the last movie. They're not faking any of it. As nosoupforyou said, all the behind-the-scenes footage proves it. Also, that's definitely Cruise in the fourth pic above.

He scaled the side of the Burj Khalifa. He HALO jump'ed out of a plane almost 100 times. He learned to fly a helicopter and was doing some crazy stunts inside a canyon. He drove his motorcycle through traffic in Paris.

Are you seriously not convinced he's doing his own stunts on this one?

That's what I'm asking Brian. Did he really do all these things? The behind-the-scene footage looks convincing, and I'm as ready to believe that he did all of these things as you are because I'm a big fan of the Mission Impossible franchise, but you can understand why some might be sceptical.

I believe it because I see no reason not to.

Sure, he's a scientologist, but I doubt he could get every single cast and crew to go along with this lie.

I'll just keep on believing it too. And I know there are plenty of safety features in place for these stunts. I see the harness on Cruise and the motorcycle.
