But his ability to sneak away with the kid wasn't changed by the mask. I agree that this bothered me also.

Because it's 3 hours worth of book stretched out into 10.
It's a show loosely based on the novel at this point. The book was 2/3rds done before we even had the Terry Maitland doppelganger reveal -- it's why since that point in the show we've had so much repetition and long, drawn-out shots... Writers were having to expand King's material on their own.

If that the case they should have just made it 5 or 6 hours long. Why compromise the quality just to stretch it out and sell more episodes?
Agreed. McMillions is a good story but watching some overweight smoking chick in a miniskirt tell stories about how guys wanted her is not interesting. Stick to the facts and make it shorter.aggie-beta said:
They should get some bad ass editor to cut this into 6 hour version which would keep all the great stuff and cut out the unnecessary stuff.
They could also turn McMillions into a 90 minute documentary and it would be better.

I'm excited too. I am hoping for a scooby doo ending.
I think it just explains why El Cuco is drawn to that town. But who knows, maybe it's foreshadowing how they'll kill it (trapping it in a cave and starving it to death like all those townsfolk did).BallerStaf2003 said:
So what was the purpose of the flashback to the bear cave?
Is that to show that el Cuco is definitely there Bc of the immense grief felt by them being trapped there?
There's a difference tho. The "helper" is the mind control.BallerStaf2003 said:
It was always able to control minds and know what they're doing.
It had the black guy deliver the two twins to it and then kill himself when he had no use for him.
