No way.

Has Harrison ever worked with Tom cruise in a movie?
My bad, he wasn't. Google search claimed he was and I figured it was a bit part uncredited. So nope, doesn't seem like they ever were in a movie together. Interesting...Brian Earl Spilner said:
He's in that?
Do you think Harrison Ford and Phoebe Waller-Bridge ever talked about the fact that she’s the Millennium Falcon

I would put even more money on him not caring when he finds out.jeffk said:

I guess I don't know it either. Was she the voice of that droid in Solo or something?jeffk said:

Yes. I had to look that up, though.double aught said:I guess I don't know it either. Was she the voice of that droid in Solo or something?jeffk said:

Quote:
Clint Eastwood is another actor with a nice list of iconic roles but none of them (besides Dirty Harry) approach the Harrison Ford stratosphere.

Directing movies doesn't have anything to do with this.
I wasn't arguing that Eastwood doesn't have a better overall body of work.
I wasn't arguing that Clint Eastwood isn't a bigger Hollywood name than Harrison Ford.
Frankly I like Eastwood a lot more than Ford as an actor.
I'm saying that Ford has more iconic roles than Eastwood, or anyone else in movie history. I think Han Solo and Indiana Jones edge out The Man with No Name and Dirty Harry.

Man with no name...what...at least three major western iconic movies. The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly. Fist Full of Dollars. Hang 'Em High.
Dirty Harry Callahan. Five movies: Dirty Harry, Magnum Force, Sudden Impact, Dead Pool, The Enforcer.
Coogan's Bluff. Heartbreak Ridge. Every Which Way But Loose. Pale Rider. Unforgiven. Space Cowboys. Escape From Alcatraz. Bridges of Madison County. Firefox.
JOSEY. FREAKING. WALES.
Plenty more before you even get into directing.
Ford can't hold Eastwood's jock. And I love Ford.

Some of y'all have a really weird concept of what defines an iconic role. I wouldn't call a role iconic unless it really transcends the movie or movies or whatever, to the point where even people who haven't seen it can at least recognize it, potentially name it.
Feel like a bunch named in this thread would not fall under that. Great movies, great characters, great performances, not necessarily iconic
