Maybe they knew a general area and the sniper was at a vantage point with a line of sight to multiple likely locations.
And just what movie or show doesn't use ridiculous 'Hollywood liberties?'oh no said:
Not being a documentary is not an excuse for being lazy or assuming the audience is stupid.

Dazed and Confused... he was a badass there too.
With that scene in season one where the veterinarian cuts open John in her trailer and cauterized a bleeding ulcer and he lived, everyone has to know what they were getting themselves in for with the show. As a rancher there are so many things wrong but it's a western in incredible scenery with a good cast. So, I'm fully onboard but each episode does have a few big eye roll scenes. Two Gun Corcoran said:
Re Monica/killer, they intentionally left it vague and settled for great leaps of faith in order to get the surprise head shot payoff.
Possibly there was conversation that explained some things afterward but got cut for time, who knows. Lots of cringeworthy stuff every episode but just like you I watch it anyway.

Where is Kayce's peeping Tom buddy White Fang Case McCoy?
I don't care, I just found it funny the ridiculous tangent they were taking with the wolf. I feel like I could do at least as good of a job writing for this show. I was expecting Tate to be abducted again, this time by Peeping Tom White Fang Case McCoy, and raised with the wolf pack as one of their own. Kayce is still able to communicate with Tate, due to his ability to speak the canine language. He works through Tate to rally the pack and many other wild creatures a la the Jungle Book, in defense of the ranch and their homeland, scaring off the potential developers and saving the Dutton Ranch yet again. The barrel racers, having mastered the ability to ride bison bare back in a previous episode, contribute to the effort and earn the brand. Rip handles the branding duty with the same enthusiasm not seen since Jimmy's branding in season 1 and his high school football days at Lee High School, which dovetails with a surprise cameo on the ranch by Matthew McConaughey. McConaughey is in the area on separate business with Woody Harrelson, investigating a gruesome murder of Wade Morrow on a nearby ranch. McConaughey reunites with Rip after giving one of the barrel racers a ride to an impromptu keg party on the ranch, thrown by the ranch hands. Beth, severely intoxicated from drinking since 9 a.m., is belligerent beyond comprehension at this point and becomes enraged at not being invited to the kegger. She and Monica (also not invited) crash the party any way, leading to a massive volcanic eruption of a cat fight between Beth and the barrel racers after witnessing their branding at the hands of her lover, Rip. Monica, feeling indebted to Beth from her intervention at a clothing store, tries to intervene, but in the fracas falls into the camp fire and is wholly consumed by the flames. John Dutton, asleep since 6:30 p.m. the previous evening, awakens the next morning to a knock on the door - it is the local law enforcement. Realizing that most of his problems are now resolved, John has a new, refreshed outlook on life. His coffee has never tasted better, and he quickly scurries back to bed upon hearing the beckoning call of the Governor.dave94 said:Electrical_Ag said:

Why do you care where the wolf is? They broke summer camp.

As stated above he was "Red". That is always a stop down movie for me when it is on.ChipFTAC01 said:
He (Cole Hauser) was one of the seals in Tears of the Sun? (highly underrated movie, btw).
Need to go back and watch it.
I thought they were up to something in the beginning. I'm not so sure now but wouldn't be surprised either way.MooreTrucker said:Yep. Just because they were ignored this episode doesn't remove them altogether.Southlake said:
So, do any of you geniuses still think the barrel racers are part of some nefarious plot?
If Rip dies, we riot.HouseDivided06 said:Oh man. That makes Kayce's comment about he did what he always seems to have to do: kill or be killed even more ominous. I never considered that Rip might go down by someone in the family and then Beth would hate BOTH of her brothers. Damn.jrrhouston98 said:
Yes, 100%. I think Rip goes ape on Kaycee. Could even be that the build up is Kaycee accidentally killing Rip in a fight. We shall see.
Oh yea.Old RV Ag said:
Walker is on probation since his release from prison. He can't leave the state else he'd be a fugitive. One would assume six hours away should suffice.
I don't know. I kind of feel like Rip has served his purpose as a character. What else can we really get from him?annie88 said:If Rip dies, we riot.HouseDivided06 said:Oh man.
