Yes but I think the point is the res doctors don't operate with the same ethical standards. And it's the 90s. HIPPA type regs weren't as strict then anyway.

The writers are implying big brother tells them not to say anything, and they listen because he's a man and a Dutton. More will come out so who knows, that's just my guess for how the writers will handle it.

The storyline has gotten pretty weak. And i seriously doubt some doc is going to sterilize john duttons 13 yo daughter without getting the ok straight from the top.

My take on it is that teenage Jamie didn't want to take her to the regular Billings abortion clinic where people would talk so he takes her to the reservation one. The reservation clinic tosses in a feee hysterectomy with abortions because they think in 1990 that all of the Native American girls getting abortions probably just don't need to be having any more babies becase...

Edit:missed about 10 posts while on a conference call

I honestly think that John *thinks* that Beth's heirs would be the one to run Yellowstone one day. Why else would he take care of Rip the way he does? Why, at the end of the episode, did he say, "its all for nothing?"

IF the writers handle it. They have a bad habit of not handling everything.

Funny how this thread has had the most posts in a long time after an episode where largely nothing happened.

So I finished the episode before my best friend did. With YTTV, if you start the episode late, it skips ALL the commercials. I was able to see, starting 8 minutes late, that it was only 37 minutes long. And you're right, its the most my best friend and I discussed about the show since the season started

No long, lingering shots of shiny black Dodge Ram pickups, Coors with the label out, or prominently displayed Yeti coolers with stickers this episode. Did get a good shot of an Apple laptop though, that's probably why it was 37 instead of 35.

I do feel like some episodes barely have any commercials, it probably evens out.

And why Costner is upset he only has one heir - because only one person can't handle all that land or because Kayce's son is part Indian he will have to give up some of that land?
Well, the way Kayce and Monica have been going at it, he'll have some more heirs. This was the first episode this season not showing those two screwing.
this is one of the biggest plot holes.

no wife that walks around with her attitude and distain for the world puts out like that.

I have buddies with wives like that. they bang like once every three months.

I disagree that nothing happened. John finding out what Jamie did was huge and will have massive repercussions.

So will the corporate CEO showing up and offering a direct buy and no longer going through the state.

I did not like that woman. She looked like a total beyotch, and attacked Jamie with an army of lawyers/staff.

Yep. She's likely much more dangerous than the Beck brothers.

Am I right in thinking that Beth and Rainwater's attack dog already know each other?

Also, Jamie went to Harvard Law and they never asked for his birthday certificate?

Don't know about law school, but I remember registering my kids at A&M and it was SS card they wanted (which use to be the student ID - real brilliant). We got the kids their SS #'s when they were very young so they wouldn't have known something like that. It is very surprising but not totally unbelievable.

What are they going to do with Jamie's exgirlfriend and the soon to be baby storyline? They have not mentioned that once this season.

Not much happened in this episode, other than Jamie finding out he is adopted, that advanced any of the ongoing stories. Only 3 episodes left.

There was something more with the old man, though, and John. I wouldn't be surprised if the old man was branded and managed to get out without going to the "train station" somehow.

He stole something or someone, and John mentioned him having one son who lived...

Is the old man Jamie's dad? John made reference to prison while they were in the cafe.

I don't think so. His name is Wade. The name on the paperwork Jamie was looking was something different.

Thinking the same thing. Especially when Beth made him promise to outlive her.

The dad's name on Jamie's birth certificate was Garret Randall, I didn't catch the middle name, or maybe Garrett was the middle name. If John's foe Wade is the father and his name is Wade Garrett Randall, that's just a little too western cliche.

And didn't John say something about "gave you a home"?

Predictions:
1. Kayce is actually Wade's son. There are hints about him having different parents hanging out there from season 1. I won't be totally surprised if it turns out that the dead son is John's only natural child.

2. After the wedding, first Rip will have a panic attack after facing danger. Then, he'll get shot the next time he tries to walk up and take someone's loaded and aimed pistol away from them. He's done that what, three times now?

I enjoyed last episode.
I'm not a roper but roping a person through a truck window seems... unlikely. For the most part this episode didn't advance things, but I still enjoyed the ride. Kayce shot someone but he does that all the time. John showed the depth of how much he cares about his kids, Beth is healing, the road trip was amusing. Jamie came in awfully hot for someone who found out that John adopted a murderer's child and treated him exactly like his own, but Jamie is stupid when he's emotional.

Casey then fires the rope towards the car window. The rope is moving forward and at a northeast angle.

Once the rope gets towards the window it stops, -in mid air mind you - ....then proceeds to move back and to the neck.

Back...and to the neck....

At this point the rope then moves up in the air as the truck is moving in the opposite direction, where it eventually lands around the suspect.

Now that is one magic roper.
