Yeah I thought their lack of concern about where Tate was was a little ridiculous as well. And I'm happy for Jimmy and his new girl but I thought it was pretty selfish of her to do what she did given that she could actually hurt him or cause more damage. I get that she can maneuver carefully but it just seemed incredibly selfish to me. And could you imagine for a moment if the roles have been reversed and that was her in the bed damaged like that and a guy basically got on top of her people would lose their ***** A little too silly IMO.

I'm a little concerned though about the comment she made about Jimmy beating her brother at a rodeo once, I hope this isn't some weird set up.

I did think their dialogue was really cute though from everything about the catheter to her not having her judgment and being a barrel racer, (I have several friends that are barrel racers), that already showed she didn't have good judgment. I also thought the scene between John and Jimmy in the hospital was funny too. Learn to rope, Jimmy. And then when he's says he ain't gonna do this **** again about paying for the hospital bill.

With Beth's revelation about children this last episode, of course they're all well into their 40s, she's not technically too old but she ain't young either, is going to lead to the reason why as well. I think the reason she hates Jamie so much as he took her to or made her have an abortion of Rips baby when she was young and that's maybe why she can't have children. And when that comes out it might change things, even with Rip. This is just my speculation I don't know anything. We'll see.

And the entire Teeter thing is just stupid. Her accent is so awful it's just laughable and if you look at her under all that stuff she's not really ugly so she doesn't really meet that either criteria. No they said ugly or mean but right now she's mostly just annoying.

That's an interesting take on Jamie and Beth. If that does play out Rip will go medieval on Jamie, with John's blessing of course.

That's my bet as well. Jamie did something to cause Beth to not be able to have children, although he seems pretty clueless about it so I suspect it was an accident of some kind rather than abortion.

It sure would explain the absolutely loathing of him by Beth.

Also...Rip and Beth are by FAR the best characters in this show followed by Jimmy and Casey. Jamie is also a really great character even though his role and purpose suck.

This show is so stupid, in so many ways....but I still like watching it. I guess that's the definition of a guilty pleasure.

This show would be alot better if they had killed off the squaw wife when they had the chance.
She. Is. Brutal. Ruins every scene.

I still enjoy it for the most part mainly due to the scenery and the EXCELLENT music.

I flashed back to this comment last night when she brought her friend with her to help bring Jimmy home, and they decided to stay and party.

$16,000 for 300 horses seems a bit low. Even for canners.

I have never seen Yellowstone and really want to and we have YouTube TV who just added the Paramount network and I can't wait to binge this show but for some reason their Show Library only has Season 2 and 3 on it. I have the series DVR'd so I won't miss anything now but what's the best way for me to watch Season 1 without it reairing?

In trying to give the benefit of the doubt, Kayce said he wanted to sell them as one lot. Maybe thats the best price he could get for the whole bunch at one time?

Did anyone else find it odd that they had their big herding montage and the plan was to basically just figure it the **** out when they get up there and get it done...and then the montage went extremely standard and basic with no issues at all?

I assume the took out a few thousand for transporting the horses. Even so, 50-100 dollars a horse doesn't seem right. But everything I know about buying horses is actually about buying dogs.

That's really low. I guess I have to get my hearing checked - I thought he told the woman $60,000 which I thought fit the not bad but hoping to get a bit more comment.

True or false: this show portrays layers of meaning, but in a clumsy, overly obvious way.

Example: generations repeat the mistakes of their ancestors. In this episode, first the widow says she'll probably just marry another cowboy. Her son says he's going to be a cowboy. Then the moment on the porch where John is sitting in his chair watching the sunset. When Casey comes outside, John shares some advice with Casey and goes inside, then Casey sits down in the same chair.

It's not very subtle metaphor and they hit on it over and over. I think maybe it is part of a decades-long trend in tv and movies toward being more obvious and less allegorical.

It's just the way most of Sheridan's stories are. A mile wide, and an inch deep.

This show could be so much better if they'd slow down, and dig into some of these stories/characters.

It might not be the best quality, but it's still stupidly entertaining nonetheless.

Nope. I just thought it was really cool and maybe I shoulda been a cowboy.

The scene was cool but given the set up dialogue it felt like in Not Another Teen Movie where the kids are all geared up to go to the big party, they pop the CD in and then drive 1 house down and park and walk in

They definitely wanted the audience to assume something would go wrong and this turn into another cluster-F.

I'm actually glad that for once there was a non-event. I mean, just the day or two before this they almost killed four bikers and buried them on the ranch!

Help me out, I was confused about the scene with the buffalo. Were they on Yellowstone land? Who did the older cowboy say to mention his name to, John?

Just watched last nights episode, the first thing they show is Jamie taking Beth to a clinic. That never crossed my mind. Good call!

What's going to be interesting is finding out why Jamie was okay with the sterilization.

Was he just too lazy to keep finding another place (maybe knowing the others would leak them info)
Did he think it best for Beth to never be a mother given she's messed up
Was he doing it out of cruelty/hatred - e.g., blamed Beth for their mom's death

Give it about 5% chance first one, 20% chance second, 75% chance third. Maybe other ones. If one goes back to season 1, Beth told Jaime she couldn't wait for him to find someone he loved, have a family and then she was going to destroy it all to hurt him.
