It looked like Rip was about to fall out when he saw Walker. Something is on the horizon.
And the horizon is a rift with Kayce as he was the one who spared Walker. Rip's stern stare was knowing Kayce has his own MO.jrrhouston98 said:

Oh man. That makes Kayce's comment about he did what he always seems to have to do: kill or be killed even more ominous. I never considered that Rip might go down by someone in the family and then Beth would hate BOTH of her brothers. Damn.jrrhouston98 said:
Yes, 100%. I think Rip goes ape on Kaycee. Could even be that the build up is Kaycee accidentally killing Rip in a fight. We shall see.
Yep. Beth vs. the brothers. Kayce has commented twice that Jaime is his brother and has his loyalty regardless of anything. There's probably going to be something from their childhood come out but Jaime saved Kayce's butt several times in season one from going to jail for killings. Monica is also growing from being a naive little girl into a stone cold killer who feels the need (and desire) to kill when called for. When she said "no wonder we are married, we're exactly alike" after the rapist getting his head blown off and reading about Kayce killing the rustlers.HouseDivided06 said:Oh man. This one is being drawn out way too long with just two minute scenes in each episode. Get on with it Taylor.Goodson said:
John Dutton has never been in a situation where there weren't alternative moves. It will be interesting to see whether the threat of eminent domain forms the bond between John and Rainwater. Perhaps with the land being transferred to the Native American Indians to prevent the loss via eminent domain to the government and ultimately to the developers. And with John having a side deal with Rainwater that would satisfy both as to what that might look like.
I'm still curious as to what Morrow "has" that was John's -- and which John "wants back."
Interesting! What a twist that would be.Goodson said:

yeah wondered about that immediately. only think I could think was she had a tracker on her, but still would be nigh impossible to follow along and set up as a sniper that fast.Southlake said:
So, the Killer takes a turnoff with Monica but when he runs her down and tries to kill her, he is shot by a sniper in place. As the good guys roll up, they start to find other bodies. How was the sniper already in place?
For you turds who hates Monica so much and thought she'd ruin the season, she showed a lot of sack by luring the killer. (Tough for a girl to do)
Also, Kayce is not a cold blooded killer of innocents. His killings were in defending the Ranch against bad guys. Rip and John Dutton have killed in cold blood - even a Jamie capped that investigative reporter. No way Kayce would murder Walker just because Walker didn't see eye to eye with Rip and the bunkhouse rules.
I think this was it, and all the other bodies confirmed it.ExpressAg11 said:
I thought maybe they knew he was taking her to that specific location so they knew where to set up. But finding human remains at the site seemed like a surprise to them. So who knows.

I concur. I explained this to my wife last night and she said she would not watch the series anymore if Rip was killed off. 49 year old women and their fantasies. At least us 49 year old men have Beth. Hope they don't kill Rip off.Teddy Perkins said:
I'll call my shot and say no way they kill off Rip, who has to be the most popular character in the series.
Yeah, that was one of the first things I looked up were other airports. The only thing I'm assuming is they're wanting a small town built around the airport.chris1515 said:
The bad guys want 50,000 acres of Dutton land to build an airport. For reference DFW airport takes up 17,000 acres. That's pretty ludicrous.
As for the Duttons losing the ranch due to property taxes, if a rancher can't cover the property taxes with land like that, they must be some special type of incompetent. Maybe cut back on the shiny new dually trucks and the championship cutting horses. Call in Dave Ramsey already.
Now we know how long it took me to type my post above!_lefraud_ said:
They want to build a city, not just an airport
They aren't going to kill either one off. Both are too important to the series at this point. They may hav them fight, but that's it.JB!98 said:I concur. Beth is shorting the Corporation's stock "borrow" stock from a broker, sell it on the market, hope the price goes down, buy it at a lower price, return the "borrowed" shares and pocket the difference. Fo example, if the stock is selling for $100, sell it, if the price goes down to $50, buy the stock and return the "borrowed" shares (or pay the "loan") and you pocket $50. They aware driving the price down by causing problems with the Corporation's attempted purchase, which is in question, and by the shear volume of purchases/sales at lower prices. It's reducing the Corporation's market capitalization which affects It's ability to raise or borrow money.EllisCoAg said:
i am ignorant about stocks, can someone explain what is going on with Beth versus the Corporation folks who want to buy the property.
I think he and Bruce Willis must have some kind of friendship as they are in several movies together. Tears of the Sun and one of the Die Hards off the top of my head.brew82 said:
Not related to Yellowstone, I just watched Acts of Violence, stars Rip (Cole Hauser). He plays a similar character as Rip, a bad arse. Also has Bruce Willis. Not that great of a movie, but not terrible either. I think Cole Hauser has found his niche.
