With Beth's revelation about children this last episode, of course they're all well into their 40s, she's not technically too old but she ain't young either, is going to lead to the reason why as well. I think the reason she hates Jamie so much as he took her to or made her have an abortion of Rips baby when she was young and that's maybe why she can't have children. And when that comes out it might change things, even with Rip. This is just my speculation I don't know anything. We'll see.

What was significance of guy killing himself because of foreclosure? Seemed out of left field. No relation to Duttons.

Is it land coveted by developers?

Just seemed an odd storyline.

Just watched last nights episode, the first thing they show is Jamie taking Beth to a clinic. That never crossed my mind. Good call!
What's going to be interesting is finding out why Jamie was okay with the sterilization.

Was he just too lazy to keep finding another place (maybe knowing the others would leak them info)
Did he think it best for Beth to never be a mother given she's messed up
Was he doing it out of cruelty/hatred - e.g., blamed Beth for their mom's death

Give it about 5% chance first one, 20% chance second, 75% chance third. Maybe other ones. If one goes back to season 1, Beth told Jaime she couldn't wait for him to find someone he loved, have a family and then she was going to destroy it all to hurt him.
I think he told her the deal, she insisted on doing it anyway, and now resents him for not talking her out of it

He was more worried about the family name being tarnished than he was about Beth. He took the easy way out to keep it hidden.

They had to build a story to break Kacey in as livestock commissioner.

The big question for me is the barrel racers. There's something off about how they just showed up.

Help me out, I was confused about the scene with the buffalo. Were they on Yellowstone land? Who did the older cowboy say to mention his name to, John?
They were on the land next door, but they didn't recognize the people running them. And yes, he said to mention his name to John.

This. He was doing it to protect the family without regard to what it meant to Beth. All through the show, IN HIS MIND, Jamie is doing what he does to protect/benefit the family. With the exception of that tell all interview that he did out of spite, but then he committed a murder to cover that up.

And they were afraid the buffalo would run through their fence and mess with their cattle.

Same here. Somebody above pointed out her comment that Jimmy beat her brother in one of the rodeos. Revenge perhaps?

They girls asked how many ranch hands they had. Clearly getting as much information possible for a war against the Yellowstone.

I would think all of Dutton's enemies certainly know how many ranch hands and resources they would be up against.

But there is something up with the girls.

$16,000 for 300 horses seems a bit low. Even for canners.

I immediately started googling average cost for horses when I heard that number
In trying to give the benefit of the doubt, Kayce said he wanted to sell them as one lot. Maybe thats the best price he could get for the whole bunch at one time?
most anyone who owns horses would pay $16k any day for someone to haul those mofos away for good.

Barrel racers will more than likely be linked to Morrow at some point.

The rancher who committed suicide: couple of possibilities. The wife seemed to embrace Kayce as someone who may have known him before rather than someone she just met.

That also might explain why he was willing to break the law and take the horses to Billings for sale so he could give the proceeds to the family.

Either that, or they were just giving father and son an opportunity to bond over the decision and to show how Kayce continues to morph into John.

Minor nitpick,!but $16k is a bit of a bigger stack than what Casey handed her. That pile couldn't have been more than about 30 bills thick. Wouldn't have been quite as Cowboy to hand her an envelope though.

Oh did he? Then that makes a lot more sense. Thought it was weird he was paid at the cattle barn in cash. Could have sworn he pulled out a folded over stack of about 10 bills.

I initially thought it was a check as well but that doesn't fit the narrative of keeping it under the radar of the banks. Wouldn't a $16k check be a huge red flag especially when the bank is trying to foreclose?

Who knows, could just be a lazy detail missed in the show.

Make the check out to "Cash"

Or, maybe since this is Taylor Sheridan, they laundered the money through a casino and had the casino issue a check made out to Texas Midlands Bank.

just read all this...yall were mad at the biker scene??

do yall really think this show is Game of Thrones or something??

that scene was badass. and factual as **** as far as how it went down. Real Ranchers would be the dog**** out of Bikers any day.

I loved that whole story. And I hadnt really liked this season at all until that point.

Only 4 episodes left this season. A lot is going to have to happen in each episode, unless they plan on dragging this into next season.

Big disappointment. Yellowstone ranch is only 50,000 acres? That's no where near the largest ones in Montana. Thought they were suppose to be kings of Montana ranches.

Question about the Native American girls dearh, how do they know it was a homicide? I assumed she started walking after her car ran out of gas, after dark, and she didn't see the canyon and just fell to her death. They should have had her without any clothes on and that would have made it more believable as being a homocide at first glance.

Why would anyone not walk along the road vs toward the canyon?

I think that is only the part of it they want to "buy" for the airport. Not the whole thing.
