Im looking for Ray Finkle.... and a clean pair of shorts. Im just a very big Finkle fan. This is my Graceland, sir.
Filming doesn't equal exact stories defined. They shoot tons of extra film and plan for variations of endings, directions, etc., through editing. Do you realize how many films had enough footage filmed to have multiple, very different endings. This is old as TV and movies. Ever wonder why Ben Cartwright in Bonanza had the same shirt and vest in every episode? As well as Little Joe, Hoss, etc. Episodes were pieced together from footage all over the place.TXAG 05 said:Old RV Ag said:That's not a cliffhanger. It's just shoot everyone and we'll how editing and actor contracts go over the next year. Everyone wants everyone dead so it's a free for all.TXAG 05 said:
I was expecting some kind of cliffhanger, but not like that
They've already started filming season 4
Yeah, maybe kid wasn't hit. Lady definitely was killed to eliminate witnesses but I really don't believe she was in on it. The van seemed to be ready to go on toward the ranch where John was heading and then backup up surprised he was there on the side of the road - that's why they asked his name.FishrCoAg said:Old RV Ag said:Think it's a mix. Jamie is behind the hit on John and maybe Beth (but the CEO & Roarke could be behind Beth - mail bomb is a Yemen approach). Kayce is an odd one. Kayce has stood by Jaime always. But, he would be a rival. And he hasn't had any run ins with ME.AgShaun00 said:
If Jamie is behind this then this show sucks.
Think Jimmie is toast. Though, could see both Jimmie and Beth be paralyzed.
Overall, disappointed. Trying too hard and each hit was too coincidental and had way too many variables to have the timing all perfect. I mean, killing the lady with the flat tire shows she wasn't part of the plan and someone with a real flat - the kid too, seriously?!
Not sure the kid was hit. Maybe lady was in on it and killed to eliminate witness

Too many serious accidents and hits for all of them to live. Maybe we start season 4 with Jimmie's funeral?
Modern TV. In my days, a season was 30+ episodes and you just had to wait over the summer.aggierogue said:
That's just cruel how they ended it. Gonna have to wait 10 months!!

Great line by John Dutton, while holding his phone. Phone took the bullet, now he can't use it to call for help...
Nope, Kayce's inheritance would pass on to Tate. As he's underage, his share would be placed in a trust and have a trustee (that could be a relative, corporate trustee, etc.). Depending on who that trustee is, it could seriously complicate Jaime's plans. Depends on how John structured his will. Also, if he knocked off everyone, there's no way he isn't found out and convicted. It has to be a mix.Bighunter43 said:
Seems awful quick for the Market Equities bunch to pull all of this off. They just left the meeting where they thought going in they'd get the land, but have time to send a bomb to Beth's office same day, a hit on Kayce, round up some dudes to hop in a van and get John Dutton before he gets home after he just left the meeting? They had no beef with a Kayce in any episode, so why even target him? The Indians were still on the way home as well.....but then there's Jaime.....he hates Beth, pissed at John, and if he takes out Kayce he's the sole heir!!

Not necessarily. If the will wasn't written "per stirpes", which Jamie might know, then Jamie could get it all as the last surviving heir.Old RV Ag said:Nope, Kayce's inheritance would pass on to Tate. Another way to look at it is that he hates his phone, and it possibly saved his life.
But ME likes Jaime - he's agreeing to their plans.Brush Country Ag said:
All of the Duttons were targeted with the exception of Jaime. I am leaning in the direction of Jaime's father doing this . Being an ex-con because of murder would lead me to think he would have the contacts to do the hits.
The way John talks to Tate about all this being his one day, and the way he was upset Beth couldn't have kids, there's no way John didn't write it "per stripes"I Am A Critic said:Not necessarily. I thought there wasn't any cell service anyway.....hence the girl couldn't call for help?

Well, we never saw him in the shower...duck79 said:
Could these have been the backups that the old cowboy who was hung called? He said he was going to get help and then nothing came of it before he was hung.
I think the bomb is Jamie but the other two could be different.
that was my main thought.aggierogue said:GSS said:

Sigh. Hollywood. The John scene is so silly for a couple reasons.
1. The guy in the van has an automatic rifle, which is incredibly rare, and a poor choice for the situation.
2. He's gotta be the worst shot in Montana
slept on it - realized his son was one of the most powerful people in Montana.ExpressAg11 said:
One thing that was funny:
Episode 9: Jamie's father wants nothing to do with him and says John Dutton is his real family.
Episode 10: "Kill the King. I'm your only family now"
That was a quick transformation.

I was thinking the same thing.
"Go away, you don't want anything to do with me. You're still here? We're bestie's now".
