Group Z ends up a tie between Superman and The Man From Snowy River
This is shocking to me. In my life, I've never heard someone hum the theme from Snowy River. Superman's is an all-timer and beloved by all. If a dark horse emerged from that group and it had been Rudy, I could have seen that. It is really popular with folks who were in school during the 90's.
I listened to all 3 tracks since I've actually never seen the film... What am I missing with Snowy River? Does it have a big following?

The tracks without the movie would lack context of course.
It's a beautiful film but was an Aussie picture and had a small but devoted cult following here. It was mostly word of mouth and more of an adult interest and specifically horses. Horse lovers and riders and people that are interested in ranching or that lifestyle liked it a lot. It was a huge movie in my family - we raised and rode horses most of my life. I kinda left behind the horse world after college but not my sister and her family. Easily one of the most beloved movies for many in my family.
And I would say you haven't heard the music because you didn't know it - I've seen it used in various things like ice skating routines, background music in public events, played at piano bars, and was used in the opening ceremony of the 2000 Olympics in Australia of course.
And collectively I would say myself and most of my family at that time were not superhero movie fan types. I loved Star Wars fo course, but never got into superhero movies. Batman was better imho.... and just some of the MCU movies really grab me.
I'm not surprised at the result at all - when some on here were talking about Superman running away with it I was like.... doubtful. There are a lot of Snowy River fans out there. Its sort of akin to Last of the Mohicans to me - great nature scenes, great music, romantic back story and conflict of course. Not a war in this case but still.
