May I inquire if Last of the Mohicans will be in one of the last few groups?
I was told in the discussion that original work was required! Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World deserves to be in here!MuckRaker96 said:
Eh. Rules said instrumental soundtracks, nothing said it had to be original.
Last of the MoHos is in Group X, which rolls out on SundayThunder18 said:

I'm torn on 2001. While the score is iconic and perfectly compliments the film, none of it is originally composed for the movie. As such, I think I will go with Magnificent Seven.
I guess most everyone just assumed that it was original compositions. I guess it is too late to add Fantasia, Amadeus, Immortal Beloved . . .MuckRaker96 said:
There was one set of rules at the top of the first page. I don't know what else to tell you.

I guess I could make a poll of the best uses of classical piece in film, not the entire score but the use. So for example "Ride of the Valkyries" from Apocalypse Now or "The Marriage of Figaro" from Shawshank Redemption.
OK, I'll probably do it if there seems to be enough interest. I'll start a thread when this poll gets closer to completion asking for nominations. I think it would work best if not only the piece of music was named but the scene it was used in. Everyone knows the scenes from 2001 or from Apocalypse Now and Shawshank but might not know how less popular films ingeniously incorporated classical pieces into the narrative.DVC2010 said:jkag89 said:I guess most everyone just assumed that it was original compositions. I think that's a great idea.

Went to see Braveheart while taking summer school at A&M in summer '95. Had no idea it was 3 hours long and myself and 2 friends all missed a class as a resultChipotlemonger said:

Well that sucks. I don't really have time to change it. Sorry for the error.Bruce Almighty said:MuckRaker96 said:The 3 tracks listed? I thought I had not used any that had real words.Bruce Almighty said:

It's faint, but the Russian choir is in the background.
Have you ever watched it? Honestly, I think the music is incredible. "Test Drive" is one of my favorite tracks of the last 15 years.MuckRaker96 said:
