It doesn't. That's a ridiculous take by that guy.Capitol Ag said:I really liked BP, but not sure it needs to be in the "best of all time" super hero movies list, per say. I'd put Captain America: Winter Soldier in there, the Avengers (2012), Iron Man and Infinity War as well. Maybe GOTG and both MCU Spideys. The Dark Knight might be the best super hero movie ever. BP was definitely in my top 10 for the super hero and MCU list not doubt.Quote:
the superhero movies that have achieved a genuine sweeping transcendence can just about be counted on one hand: "The Dark Knight," "Spider-Man 2," "Black Panther," a few others.
I was disappointed that the first JL was not very good. Had high hopes. Looking very forward to watching it this weekend once I get some time.
78% critics and audience score should start rolling in soon. Will be very interesting to see where that lands.Brian Earl Spilner said:
RT score up to 77%. Might break 80.
I can agree with that.bobinator said:
It's maybe worth noting that he doesn't necessarily say that BP is all that "good" in the sense of what makes a good movie, but it's hard to deny that it "transcended" just being another MCU release. It was a major part of the popular culture, in part or mostly because of what it meant to the black community, but still, I think it reached a status that very few superhero movies reach.
Now, if we're talking about just great superhero movies, there needs to be more love for Thor: Ragnarok on here.
Also I stopped reading RT a long time ago and metacritic is a little more lukewarm on this.
same here...i was really planning to just skip this thing. now i'll probably wind up checking it out.MW03 said:
Seems like people get weirdly territorial about super hero universes, similar to video game consoles, phones, etc. Wouldn't surprise me to see people hate on this just because it DC and not Marvel.
I skipped Justice League, along with Suicide Squad and Aquaman. I liked Man of Steel quite a bit. Wonder Woman as well. I thought Batman vs. Super man was decent enough. Pretty disappointed in WW1984.
I hadn't planned to watch this supercut or whatever, but this thread has me intrigued.
Your take is bad and you should feel bad.Brian Earl Spilner said:
On the list of most underrated CBM, Batman Begins is well below Man of Steel and Shazam imo.
That one too. Forgot about the ridiculousness around that.bobinator said:
RT is mostly fine, where it runs into problems is when critics almost unanimously think a movie is good-but-not-great. It doesn't weigh how good a critic thinks a movie is, just if it's good or not. So 100% of critics could rate a movie as "pretty good" and it's going to be 100% on rotten tomatoes, which isn't really a reflection of how good the movie is.
I think the most notable movie where RT really warped audience expectations was The Last Jedi.

Shazam was average at best for me. Looking forward to The Rock legitimizing that one next time around.

Has anyone watched a big movie like this using their AirPod Pro buds? I could obviously test it. Just curious.
Just got an Apple TV and have never used them for this.
About using them paired directly with my Apple TV and watching on 4k TV.ONE-TWO-- said:YouBet said:

What are you wondering about? I have AirPods Pro and have used them with my iPhone and iPad but never have with my Apple TV.
