The trailer above is two minutes in length, we're just not getting the first 30 seconds or so. Either way, curious to hear the differences as more people see it.

Thanks for this post. All of those look really exciting.TCTTS said:
I still can't believe we get Nolan (Oppenheimer), Villeneuve (Dune: Part Two) and Fincher (The Killer), all in the same year. My three favorite filmmakers, probably even within six months each other. Not to mention Scorsese (Killers of the Flower Moon), Michael Mann (Ferrari), and Ridley Scott (Napoleon) too. I absolutely cannot wait for 2023.
Good video of Ludwig from a few years ago about writing Redbone with Childish Gambino:TCTTS said:
It's actually Nolan's new go-to, Ludwig Goransson, who did his Tenet score, along with the scores for The Mandalorian, along with the Black Panther movies. And it already sounds like a classic.
(I'm assuming Zimmer is still busy with the Dune franchise.)
I understand why Universal is mostly marketing OPPENHEIMER with the (inferior) theatrical trailer: it's broader, less tense and more likely to win Dads, but the IMAX trailer is a stunner. Love the palette, the tone, the scale. Wish it went online. This can be something special.

Indeed.
I'm beyond stoked for this movie.
I think this heavy of marketing early on is a great sign.TCTTS said:
Just saw it as well, and I caught two during the Sunday night game last night. They're going all out.
They've been doing this kind of thing for years. In August 1979 I went to a re-release of Star Wars and stayed through the ending credits, then was surprised that they had tacked on a preview for TESB at the end, almost a year before the sequel would premiere.oragator said:
Wow, 8 months out and I just saw an ad for it in MNF?
That's crazy.
For the film 'Oppenheimer'?LMCane said:
I wish they put some type of emphasis on the crew of the Enola Gay rather than just on how to build an atomic weapon

between crazy viruses, artificial intelligence, and nuclear bombs in North Korea, Russia and Iran I doubt we make it to the 22nd century...

Independence Day had a big TV ad during the Super Bowl in 96, movie didn't come out until July, so it has been done.oragator said:
Yeah they'll do it in theaters a lot, but TV advertising is usually much more current outside of maybe a tester or 2
I admit I laughed.BenTheGoodAg said:For the film 'Oppenheimer'?LMCane said:

They'd have to call the film 'Gay' and this thread would melt-down.

It's been covered, rewatch Pearl Harbor, the entire damn thing, all the way to the end, then report back.Cinco Ranch Aggie said:I admit I laughed.BenTheGoodAg said:For the film 'Oppenheimer'?LMCane said:

Would love to see either this movie have some focus on the actual bombing mission, or a stand-alone movie about it. I do, however, seem to recall a TV movie being made back in maybe 1980 that for some reason I was not able to watch at the time.
Edit - not bad for my memory here. Enola Gay: The Men, the Mission, the Atomic Bomb (1980)
