That's going to end tragically for both Marks.

3some?

2 Marks, 2 Helly/Helenas, 27 Gemmas, that is a lot more than a 3some if they change rooms and floors

Man, I just binged this whole show in about 2 weeks. Soooo good.
I almost bailed in the first episode because it felt so pretentious, all the walking down minimalist corridors, big words etc. but stayed in because of the overall rating. It's so original, unique, and well done. The casting is perfect, the ironic thing is that PA feels like the only possible miss (at least for me). But the slow build ups, not feeding the storyline and trusting the audience to pick up the bits and put it together…and then the ironic "why can't anyone else see how crazy this is" humor sprinkled in that Stiller was always so good at as an actor. Hard to believe he could do this all, but good for him. The second season finale is so irreverent, over the top but not at the expense of the plot, pretty genius.

Halfway through S2Ep8....good gosh almighty this season is weird.

I thought it peaked with the goat people, but I was wrong.

I really enjoyed last season...but I'm not sure what to think of this one. They just introduce 20 new questions per Ep, without explanation. And some of the story is soooooo slow. Like the one with his wife's flashbacks, and the one with Patricia Arquette going back home. Just get to the freaking point and move the story along for goodness sake.

It's so off the wall, I can't turn away...but I don't know if I like it. The first season stayed on a path...this one seems to be on 10 paths at once.

I felt the same way, but a lot of it comes together in the final episode, and why they did some of the things they did creatively make more sense after it's over.

can't post the video here, but this is a link to the Hollywood Reporter interview with Helly and includes a great look of her original audition tape. She filmed the first scene of the show on her bathroom floor. it's really neat to watch.

Just finished Season 1 and holy balls this show is great. My wife watched the first two episodes on a flight a few months ago and has been dying to watch it. We finally got around to it. Now on to Season 2.

Just finished season 2. Awesome show.

The wife made it through both seasons and said I think you're on your own for the 3rd. Works for me, means I don't have to wait for her to watch an episode.

Posting to get this on my watch list.

Releasing so much faster than season 2!

source is Production Weekly, which isn't reliable, but Ben Stiller responding gives it maybe slightly more credibility, but who knows.

I just finished the season. The episode was great, but I do feel like it made most of the rest of the season just filler. The first six or seven episodes were all about reintegration. However, once they did the Gemma story, reintegration never really played in, and became more of an after thought. Outside of one line during the Mark conversation, reintegration didn't play into the final episode, despite it occupying sometime like 75% of the story in the first six episodes. We go into next season with Mark still not done with reintegration. I'm starting to worry that this show doesn't have as cohesive of a storyline as we originally thought.

I watched the pilot years ago on a 7-day trial, but only recently got AppleTV for watching F1. Just binge watched both seasons, finishing the S2 finale minutes ago. Completely agree with your assessment.
Mark S. abandoning Gemma at the stairwell feels like the writers needed an out to keep the show going another season. It is as if Neo, after being red pilled, learning bullet time kung fu and rescuing Trinity, decided to abandon his comrades and reality to be reinserted into Matrix for the taste of fake steak and to "help his landlady carry out her garbage".

It just wasn't in character or make sense to settle for that.

The season and series should've ended with Mark and Gemma Scout making the Butch and Sundance exit out of the Lumon building. I loved the show at the end of S1, now I hate it.

Exactly! Outie Mark Scout would have left to be with Gemma, but innie Mark S just couldn't leave Helly behind.

Yeah, also kinda wild that Helly R's main contribution to the project was using her sexuality to entice Mark S to finish Cold Harbor.

If all you've got is a hammer, every problem looks like a nail.

And Mark definitely nailed that...

Innie Mark got that dawg in him.

There's something about Helly in her well fitting office attire.
