This would have been the opportunity to do that IMO, so no - Thor ain't going anywhere for a while.

Thor was always an airhead!!! he was always the jock bro. loki is the clever one and he's the dummy with a heart of gold. This was a return to his actual character.
I think my favorite thing about this movie is that he felt the most authentically Thor. The dumbest thing about Ragnarok was that he was suddenly super smart and witty and it wasn't the same character as the rest of the movies.

dang dude….everyone knows my thoughts on Ragnarok and even I wouldn't go that far.Cromagnum said:
Holy **** this movie sucked. Far worse than Ragnarok (which i also thought sucked). The only saving grace was Bale's acting and the GNR soundtrack. More Disney forced gayness that didn't need to be involved just for another turd in the punch bowl.

The Jane + cancer stuff actually worked for me because I thought that they were gonna chicken out and have some twist of, "oooooooooo the magic of Mjinor is so awesome it cured your cancer" or some crap…..but nope…..Jane Fonda is dead and in Valhalla….
The kids getting to share Thors power I thought was actually pretty cool and as far as it being a deux-ex-Mach-whatever I feel you could make the argument that since these were "gods kids" is what made it possible….
I agree with the posters who've commented on that the GOTG scenes seemed choppy and that Gorr definitely need more time showing us he's evil killing off some other gods….
And I gotta say….Russel Crowe was annoying as Zeus….not sure what he was going for with that accent but dang that was distracting….
The ending was a really nice wrap of it all with Love & Thunder and Gorr choosing to wish his daughter back alive was a good way to wrap it up….just would've meant a lot more if we'd seen him go through more suffering and evil to really get caught up in his characters change at the end…
And yes the humor was forced a lot of times….the scene where Valkyrie is chatting with Jodie Foster with the different weapons she's bringing and she shows that her "hand grenade" is a music player….man….it was very clear that they let that scene play on due to expecting the audience to laugh and not a peep in my theatre….
#ThorLoveAndThunder amplifies a declining production quality for Marvel.

Everything felt cheap, like fast-food. Yet, it had largest budget for Thor.
Hollywood is favoring content over cinema, overworking VFX artists and diluting quality. Until fans demand better, it won’t stop.

was listening to The Big Pic pod about it and was reminded of how great the black and white scenes in the shadow realm looked.
I don't even know who y'all are referring to when the cheering happened for what character…..was it the side kick nerdy chick that visited Jane while she was getting chemo?TCTTS said:
My theater cheered when she showed up and I felt immediate embarrassment for even being there. I don't dislike the character, but it was almost like there was a sign above the screen that lit up, saying "Cheer Marvel Sheep!" and everyone did just that. It's usually super fun when the crowd's super into it, but every so often it can feel like robots cheering because they're programmed to.

MCU feels like "fast food" in phase 4 besides no way home
I don't know, I thought the movie set up that decision well. Sure, you might think that after all his time butchering gods (which we saw little of, unfortunately), his main motivation would switch to killing other gods. But I don't think it's a plot hole to say that his mind was changed after he was released from the corruption of the sword.Albatross Necklace said:
For example, terminally ill dude could get any wish in the universe, so he decides to die and let his mortal enemy to raise his undead daughter. This not make sense within the context of the film.
I assume you're talking about the fact that Stormbreaker could open a portal directly to Eternity? I think it's pretty clear that no one knew that until Portman saw Gorr's drawings.Quote:
Moreover, this option has been available since IW. At any point in time, Thor could have used Stormbreaker to undo the Snap or solve a multitude of other problems.

I do love the sexual tension between TCTTS and politics forum posters. Both are ready to explode on each other at a moment's notice, but both act like they totally don't care about the other.
