Thought the episode was really strong. I like that they sped through some of the obvious setup stuff so we can get on with it. We didn't need 3 episodes of her getting and coming to terms with her powers.

My favorite thing about the series, though, has been all the outraged woke police with their panties in a bunch, obviously thinking this is some sort of new appeasement and not a 40+ year old character.

my guess is that this was intentional….certainly seemed that way

They needed a simple, generic villain that she hulk could knock out quickly so they wouldn't need a drawn out fight….something simple to end the episode showing that people would know she had powers

How come her suit jacket rips, but not her shirt?

I've learned over the past several years that I just am not very discerning when it comes to CGI quality. Yes, I can recognize "bad" CGI, but my threshold is apparently much lower than a lot of other people.

the hair change is different, but the facie is similar enough, in a slightly stylized way.

my guess re: hair:. Curlier hair is a ***** to animate, while longer/straighter hair is easier to animate since it all tends to move together.

And the longer darker hair is closer to the comic book/

You know how it is, there are two groups of people those who want it to succeed so rate a 10 and those who want it to fail and rate it a 1. I did not care for the first episode, but would not rate it a 1 more of a three.

According to the makers they wanted to make the show a green skinned "Ally McBeal". One of em is saying how they wanted to show the mundane nature of her life, like doing laundry after work. Really riveting stuff...

Other than those lackluster interviews there is a tweet out there talking about how the writers wanted to do a three-part trial for Abomination, but once they submitted it Disney realized the writers had no idea how to do courtroom drama or make a compelling trial for the show. Three episodes of these writers finger-blasting a beanbag chair would have been more entertaining than what they wrote.

In fairness, I usually dont judge a series by its first season. (see Parks and Rec) Writers need to hit their stride with characters and content. But with the MCU we are seeing a reverse phenomena Wandavision started off strong then we get this "youre the ones with the guns" "(to Strange) well you gave the time stone to Thanos" type writing. Loki started off strong, then he became a side character in his story.

Phase 4 has been a monumental disappointment and thats due to the strength of the writing, or lack thereof. FFS do you really need to talk about Steve Rogers virginity? like WTF are the writers hoping to achieve? Imposing whorish 2022 values on a character from the 1940s for a cheap laugh? Captain America is beloved and the MCU gave him a send off where he saves the world and gets to live his life with the woman he loves. You dont need to sully that for your Sex & the City demographic, who wont be watching this garbage anyways. Have an ounce of brand awareness.

I take that back, I cant think of Falcon & winter soldier ever being good. Other than Zemo having charisma.

The entire story was so bland and "who gives a sht" after the infinity saga. The stakes were so low and the drama so contrived there was no satisfying resolution because there was no real predicament that the viewer could care about.

"Oh no, people arent getting monetary relief after half the population returned into being." "Oh no, people are using drugs to become mid-tier enhanced individuals" That organization would have been misted if these two avengers called the Hulk over from his Yoga mat and discussions about Steve Rogers penus.

No one was buying the threat or the narrative.
