I liked both episodes, but the 30 minute run time sucks with 7 minutes of credits. We got a bar scene, interview, and phone call in the second episode. They should have just released them all at the same time if each episode was going to be a short.

Agreed. I've posted before about the lack of charisma in this new group of superheroes Marvel is trying to get us invested in. But then here comes this show to suddenly be the exception. This actress is definitely killing it. Just proves that this go around Marvel has had some casting hits (She-Hulk) and some serious misses (looking at you America Chavez actress).

Finally watched second episode. All in all I'm really liking this show. Characters are interesting, motivations are interesting, and the script is better than expected…..I just hope not every friggin episode is going to have the whole, "women struggle because men are bad" message

Came back to this thread after a while to find a crayon-scribbled manifesto about how women in comics ruin everything, so glad things are staying consistent. And about Ms Marvel of all things, which is easily one of the best MCU shows.

I thought Episode 2 was really funny. I don't know anything about the actor who plays Jen, and don't know her work, but she's funny. Has really good timing and is physical in her comedy. I chuckled several times at just little bits like her walking so confidently into the office only to push the pull door, or her reverting from Hulk back to Jen in the bar and immediately falling down drunk. Those kinds of things are easy to write but hard to deliver.

Loved the little jabs and gags at The Incredible Hulk, and the recast.

They also use the 4th wall thing appropriately and don't overdo it.

I'm looking forward to the courtroom stuff. They were going for "superpowered Ally McBeal" and they seem to be hitting that mark to me. Just need some relationship conversations in unisex bathrooms.
