Pretty excited. I actually liked 1883 better than Yellowstone.
I can't believe it slipped by me (or that I forgot) that Harrison Ford was in this.

No, according to that article he plays James Dutton's younger brother. James (Tim McGraw) was killed in a flashback scene last season.

Yeah it wasn't definitive I agree. Just the way he says something to the affect of "Lord just let me get home" after he was shot and then having Margaret screaming out when he gets inside the house made me figure he died.

A fan site that I was reading made a good point. He also said "They won't make it without me". They obviously made it, so it has me wonder how they are going to treat it.

I thought that was the whole point, that he was playing James in his 80's. They were originally calling it 1933 and decided it didn't work with Harrison Ford's age.
James was in the Civil War. Assume he's 20 then. That makes him 40 in 1883 and 80 in 1923. That fits Ford. It can't be either son as they would be 40-50.

I don't know for sure but I assumed James was a little older than 20 during the Civil War because he was an officer. There were young officers at that time but they were mostly patrician and came about their rank because they were able to raise companies of soldiers. James never struck me as having that kind of background.

William Mckinley in the 23rd Ohio Volunteers started a private at age 20 and rose to the rank of Major.

Paramount Plus only, like 1883.
I find it funny that we'll be able to watch this on Paramount+ when it comes out but not Yellowstone.
